Likely the name will only be known to Brits of a certain age but Windsor Davies star of Carry On movies and British sitcoms like It Ain't Half Hot Mum and Never The Twain has died at the age of 88.

Windsor Davies started out as a coal miner then later a teacher but it was acting that brought him to the attention of the nation with his his most notable character Sergeant Major "Shut Up" Williams.

He also had a No1 single with co star Don Estelle which held the top spot for 4 weeks.

RiP Big Man , we will not see your like again.

RIP,
I've watched some of his shows. British humour is the best humour.

His wife passed away back in September. They been married since 1957.

Wonder if he was heartbroken. 😔

RIP Sar Major...........The Ol Dart is not what it use to be, not like your good old days.

The Days when Poofs were Poofs, Arabs, nignogs, Pakis, and currie munchers were few and far between.

This is the English that I remember, before the PC culture destroyed the Ordinary Brit.

One day I must visit it, before its all gone!!

It made me angry to hear this show is no longer allowed on Brit television and is only on Youtube
due to the snowflake culture here
