On March 8th 2014 Malaysian Airlines MH370 with 239 souls on board disappeared without a trace. After years of attempts to find the crash site, the Malaysian government halted the investigation, having admitted that they still do not know what happened to the airplane. In fact thanks to many conspiracy theory, not even sure if MH370 indeed crashed.

Today, in a news conference in Subang Jaya near Kuala Lumpur, a 42 years old Indonesian fisherman Rusli Khusmin swore truth on the Koran saying he and his crew witnessed the crash and handed over the coordinates he recorded on his GPS, to investigators.

An Indonesian fisherman who claims to know the exact spot where the ill-fated MH370 plane crashed into the Sumatra sea has handed over the co-coordinators to investigators.

Rusli recorded the co-ordinates of the site where he says the plane entered the water on a GPS device and held up a map to show reporters.

The coordinates pinpoint the location of the disaster in the Sumatra Indonesian Sea, between Indonesia and Malaysia at Malacca Strait.

'I saw the plane moving from left to right like a broken kite,' he said. 'There was no noise, just black smoke as a result of fires before it crashed into the water.'

I am sure the families of the victims would be grateful for a closure if this new information turns out to be true. However, after this long time there is no guarantee that anyone would find anything, and that brings me to the only question worth to ask. Why did he wait almost 5 years?

That was my first thought when I read the title of this post! Why wait 5 years? Or did they tell after it happened and it was swept under the rug to hide something?

I'm reading other sources maybe someone else asked this question on the press conference?

Why did they wait so long? I think there has to be more to the story. 5 Years later?

All the crew were silent about this ??? Usually there is always one bird that sings.
Maybe they were paid to be silent or there are something very fishy about the fisherman !

I vaguely remember there was another fisherman a while ago who said he saw a smoking plane going down, and it was pretty much in the same area. I wonder if this is the same man?

All fishermen are fishy and that's a given but 5 years if the coordinates are true, now that is even fishier (has someone been there already and why?)

What makes a plane sway side to side like a failing kite?

Poor fishermen and a wealth beyond there wildest dreams in the form of baggage and other flotsam and whatever the body's had on them if any of them were intact.
Still if the plane was smoking that means conflict on the plane before it hit the water as otherwise it would simply have fallen out of the sky with no smoke.
But plane crashes usually result in the cargo being spilled from the torn apart wreckage, cases floating on the water among the body's and in such a situation perhaps these poor men decided not to speak about it if they did gather any good's from the site.

Still I hope that this bring's closure to the family's and a fresh investigation of the location is launched.

the biggerst question = why dint he immediatly radio " mayday - aircraft in distress " ??????????

without " magic " or some vast overarching conspiracy - irs implausible to assume that he could know anything at the time - other than :

its a malaysia iarline airbus - and its gong down .

further

he says - he knows evactly where it crashed - but somehow - he retreieved zero debris - despite being right on site

the alledged crash site - is another major had scratcher

the northern approaches to the mallacca straits

the straits is " one of the busiest shipping areas in the world "

se :

thats just AIS reported traffic

the area has its own VTS

source

it is also classed as a piracy trouble spot

and 3 countries - thialand , indonesia and malaysia have constant military presence

ths tail gets more implausible the more you stare at it

"There was no noise, just black smoke as a result of fires before it crashed into the sea."

I know that black smoke "as a result of fires" is a reasonable conclusion to make, but does that statement not seem odd? The fisherman doesn't know what the black smoke was from. That statement seems oddly specific.

ETA: was that not one of the first places they searched (the area he says the plane went down)? And as another poster points out, it's a busy area, yet no one else saw this and no debris?

If there isn't any follow up, we'll know this is concocted. If they have the exact coordinates, some kind of evidence should be able to be found.

I would think some debris would have been found in that location.

And this other sighting

After spending years combing an online map of the Indian Ocean, the amateur crash investigator claimed to have found a plan wreckage 'riddled with bullet holes'.

Bullet holes showing. lol

The whole story sounds fishy (pun intended) to be honest. I've read every other source on this and not one of them mentioned if anyone asked this man about the 5 years delay or at least its not on the MSM. I find it strange, as most of us thought of that within 5 seconds of reading this. I feel sorry for the victim's family if this will turn out to be bull...

I'm thinking this guy did see the accident, reported it within days, and his report was blown off because they thought the plane was somewhere else. That kind of thing is common, lots of evidence is tossed out because of false beliefs of investigators. It also happens in science a lot.

That find could have been an old plane that was shot down. Possibly even from past wars.

we will know soon if he's telling the truth

Am I the only one who's surprised that the GPS tracker in the picture is still capable of telling anyone anything about where something happened five years ago? That thing looks rough.

It would be interesting if this were true and if there's any way to prove it at this point (I thought the theory was that the plane was probably scattered all over the place in small pieces, like the debris they found on beaches). I guess the alternative is that this guy just woke up and decided he wanted his 15 minutes of fame? I suppose we shall see.
