The phenomenon is called tayog-tayog i.e. tremors.

Fishermen describe vibrations emanating from the gigantic ship they feared would crush them because of its sheer size; appearing out of nowhere then vanishing into thin air.

State-of-the-art industrial videocamera was used by a major Philippine media network: gma network's kmjs

This night footage is as clear as it gets without night vision.

This is better than the illinois 2000 ufo when I was there; no comparison.

Then again, this isn't the first time something like this came from the Philippines.

Not grainy indiscernible footage; not just witness testimonies.

This is clear high definition night footage.

Philippine Coast Guard gave chase in a high speed boat but the ship(s) effortlessly kept its/their distance before vanishing into thin air.

Seems like they somehow detected the coast guard wasn't as benign as fishermen.

The waters which were still churned and became turbulent; something massive and powerful is stirring.

Forewarning: Philippine dialects.

YouTube

gma network's kmjs

It was hd on TV but it's still clearer than what we usually have here on ats.

Watch through to the end for GMA network's kmjs' own footage.

I only watched a couple of minutes of the reconstruction then stopped. At what timeframe is the alleged footage in HD of the anomalous object? Save me watching reconstructions in a language I don't understand.
Thanks in advance.

In 240p that's not what I call "State-of-the-art industrial videocamera" "high definition"

It was on TV.

Uploader's doing.

In his defense, internet is expensive and slow here.

The facebook one was better 1080p, but I didn't see the ship vanish or anything. Just video of a ship, what am I looking for that is strange here?

It did vanish in a flash of light.

If by ship you are insisting it's only a big boat, it's not.

Coast guard speed boat would've caught up to them.

That's how pirates board ships.

It's fast.

You do know there are still pirates, right?

This story reads like an edition of the oregon files series by clive cussler. The premise is, a group of CIA like, good guys have an old tramp steamer with incredible equipment and magneto hydrodynamic engines, that can push the old ship at hydrofoil like speeds. They run around the world fighting evil and making lots of money doing it.

That was just the USS Nimitz returning from 1941.

The Final Countdown was a documentary.

That's hardly what I'd call high def.

It appears to be two party boats. You can see them pass each other, exactly like two ships in the night. I've spent many months on the ocean and what's presented in that clip as evidence is quite a common sight at night near any harbor or port.

The B-roll video used in the report, i.e., faces of aghast onlookers, etc., is a bit too 'produced' to be credible.

It's too fast even for the coast guard high speed boat.

Philippine Coast Guard said such a maneuver as seen on the video is highly irregular and dangerous.

They also thoroughly checked with all known ship companies.

No official ships were supposed to be in that area.

I'll take you deeper down the rabbit hole; I think those lights may be on the edges of just the one object spinning.

They're not two ships.

Either the main hull is invisible because observers said before it shows up, a portion of the stars disappear OR it's underwater.

That would explain the tremors/vibrations hence the turbulent waters in it's wake.

I suspect the OP is somehow affiliated with the channel this aired on in the Phillipenes or with the show in some way. There is NO WAY anyone would call this quality footage or TV in any way shape or form. It looks like it is the same cookie cutter script that is used on about 300 other "ghost ship", "alien sightings", "to catch a Drug smuggler", etc type of "reality" re-enactment type TV show. I know the ones that say they use original footage (even in the US, Canada & Europe), it is fake/staged very often - and they claim that it is authentic real video (some have actors in other similar shows in the "authentic" video...).

Either way, this seems like a terrible source and story, they just want views like every other TV show and use curious people to peddle their fakery.

It definitely looked like two ships, look at about 9:17, you can see the two passing each other....

Me? Affiliated with the leading media company in the Philippines?

gma network's kmjs is not a tabloid.

It is an award winning and recognized show internationally.

I wish I were so lucky.

I have been a member of above top secret right from the beginning.

The two females are a representation of what the people believe are "fairies" on the "ghost ship."

I understand the language barrier you guys have.

This is an investigative documentary with actual footage.

This sort of " evidence" is why people laugh and discredit everything about UFO's and USO's. Like you said, someone had to film "the event" from another boat and focused on the reaction of the man from different views.

This video here should be moved to the hoax bin real fast.

Sorry but the video just muddies the water in search of truth on the subject.

Get real people...

The video is from a news magazine show out of the Philippines.

Which explains why the YouTube video is no longer available (removed for copyright violation).

The Facebook video is from the news stations page that they host, specifically Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho (meaning "One At Heart, by Jessica Soho).

Description of who she is:

""Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho" is a weekly news magazine show hosted by Jessica Soho, one of the most awarded broadcast journalists in the Philippines. It features stories about current events, lifestyle trends, and interesting individuals."

www.facebook.com...

and

GMA News Online, vids by Jessica Soho

Most of the scenes you're seeing in the video is in the flavor of other TV shows like "Unsolved Mysteries", etc, with "dramatic reenactments" and then interviews with the actual persons involved.

So: No. The video itself is not a "hoax", it's a weekly news magazine article.

As far as the content of that article: up to you to believe it or not.

That's because this was a fully developed production filmed by top caliber professionals of the leading Philippine media corporation.

I expected the wannabe debunkers/bashers/haters that have infected ats.

They have spread all over the web.

They don't even put in a little due diligence like you did.

Good for you, mate.
