Looking up what you are referring to, the NYT's corrected (not retracted) a story to clarify that Manafort had ALSO asked his Deputy Rick gates to share polling data with two Ukrainian oligarchs, Serhiy Lyovochkin and Rinat Akhmetov.

I find it very weird the way you invent an alternate reality. Story the same. No retraction. President Trump has even responded already to it claiming he didn't know Manafort was sharing his internal data with GRU.
