This is not an official entry, just a wee tribute to the current SHORT STORY CONTEST - "That's Life" (in 50 words or less!)

You're allowed two entries, so here are my TWO takes on "That's Life"

The Sun struggles through the thick smog, waves breaking on the plastic shore.
The Breeze disturbs the dead leaves as lonely clouds cry acid tears.
The Rich make merry in their opulant domes.
The Poor waste away in their tented "homes".
The Fat Cat smiles, his wallet fat.
That's Life?

A baby cries.
Her Mother cries too.
Bewildered Dad stares... laughing, crying, amazed!
In time, they walk together - smiling under a golden sun.
She grows (and she grows!) Her path made safe by parents care.
She falls in love, she's chosen well. Bewildered as his own baby cries. That's Life.
