Current US's political situation mirror's Bolshevik revolution in terms of political parties

For awhile I always wondered what Bolshevik meant and I never really found an answer besides that it was the name of the "Russian Revolution" to overthrow the czar and that it was founded by Trotsky, Lenin, etc. What I didn't know is that there was an opposing party called the Mensheviks that were in opposition (had different founders/ideals) from the Bolsheviks. After a little digging I found that the names basically mean "Majority" and "Minority" (Bolsheviks = majority). So the Bolshevik revolution means the "majority revolution".

But both were part of the same party, the Russian Social Democratic Labour Party - RSDLP

So what I see happening today with the Democrats is basically the same thing as what was going on within the RSDLP with the whole controversy of choosing the speaker of the house (Pelosi controversy). I've thought since I heard Nancy say that she was going to be speaker that she may be in for a rude awakening especially if she ever finds out just how extreme some of the members of her "progressive" party are. I think she is a much more moderate democrat that many want to give her credit for, take a look at her family history (father was congressman and mayor of Baltimore, along with her brother being mayor of Baltimore). She was all about equality for women and supporting them but I don't think she is a crazy feminist (meaning extreme/radical feminist - crazy IDK about...). I have a feeling that she would not support full blown socialism and probably not communism which is what many on the left/extreme left seem to "secretly" want.

Now if things can be compared to the Russian revolution of 100 years ago (almost exactly), then the Republicans would be in place of the Royal family (Czar Nicholas II). What I don't know is who is the Bolshevik of the Democrats, if it is the moderates or the extreme leftists.

So I'm wondering if we are not seeing history somewhat repeat itself and if it is, can we not look back and learn from what happened and try to do things better? What do you think about the current democrat party, which side would be stronger politically, the more extreme leftists or the more moderate democrats? Also, would the republican's take the safe side and side with the moderates or would they go for broke and side with the extremists in an effort to try to eliminate the majority of the party (both sides attacking the middle, leaving a weak extreme left that would be easier to defeat).

So, side with the moderates and you will keep the dem's on life support and possible gain some "good will' from more moderate dem's - OR - crush the moderate dem's by siding with the extremists and then once the party is sufficiently weakened they could be relegated to a near permanent minority if not "extinguished" (politically or physically - it would be situational..)

I want universal healthcare.

I want tax funded 100% covered higher education.

I want the top 1% to be taxed at a rate of 50%.

I want the next level of top 20% to be taxed at a rate of 35%.

The poor should not be taxed at all. (any family who's total income is less than $200,000/year)

What uniform should I put on and what are my weapons and skills? Am i a Merchant/Thief, Elf/Hunter or Wizard/Warlock?

IDK your politics so IDK what you are saying - poking fun at the left or what. If you are quoting what Pelosi has said or something then I am mistaken at her being a more moderate democrat and I have to confess I often didn't know if she was talking about things she personally believed or what the party wanted - and often didn't listen to her at all when she would ramble.

Yes I'm well aware. I don't understand why you asked that. Do you not think that there is similar tension between the L & R in the US? I don't think I gave the impression that I was supporting the Dem's in any way, only that their political party was in a similar position of the Russian Socialist party of 1918.

What do you mean by "we don't want to offend Democrats". Did I act in a way that was supporting them or something like that? I'm confused by both replies, yours and the first.

So yes, it sounds like you're suggesting that we're in a parallel situation. When I said "don't wanna offend the Dems" I'm making light of the fact that many on the left don't see the similarities between their current political ideals and the principles that Bolshevism was rooted in.

I'm still not sure what you were getting at. The Dem's are pretty darn similar to the way the Russian Socialist party was and the Republican's can only be the remaining party. But I didn't say anything about wanting the same outcome - in fact I said if they are in fact similar enough, maybe we can learn from what happened and do differently.

Are you saying we aren't in a similar political situation them? Is that what you were disagreeing with?
