Civil War 2.0

There will never be a civil war unless there's lawlessness, starvation, turmoil and upheaval.

No one is going to do a damn thing, unless.. they don't have electricity, internet, food to eat. That's multiplied by providing for families of course. It's fantasy to talk about it from a what-if perspective, akin to.. talking about D&D or aliens. I hope your powder is dry and your cabinet is stocked btw, Planet X is entering the solar system or it's already here, cloaked. There's two suns in the sky and aliens. I saw the YouTube videos earlier today (and 5 years ago).

I'm not trying to poke fun (I'm infected with the deny ignorance truth virus and you'll turn into a boring zombie; no stars or flags) but let's at least be honest. We all like thinking, writing, playing games, even creating them. Fantasy is fun, it sells. It's a big portion of the funding for this forum. But don't.. please don't try to pass this type of thing off as reality.

The only reason their isn't real political blood at this time, is because the republicans are sane. There are a lot of people, mainly, on the right, who have been through wars, walked the beat as cops, and know what is is like to be in a life or death struggle. The other side, needs safe spaces because someone wrote "Trump" in chalk on a sidewalk and they feel their life is threatened. It would be not be a civil war, it will be a massacre.

It will be the one day civil war, with millions of dead, but on the flip side, those dying will not die in vein. the carbon foot print of america will be smaller.

I could just as easily say that in general conservatives are older and slower than liberals (and I'd be right). They are more malnourished, fatter, and less educated. They wouldn't be able to get a strategy together cause "every man for himself!". They couldn't run a half mile without keeling over and grasping for a can of flamin-hot cheetos and a Bud Ice. They would be a drag in wartime. They need to eat more and sleep more. They overestimate themselves to a fault. The percentage of them that have any experience actually shooting humans is about nil (except for all that basement posturing) so the PTSD would hit all hard, including them. At this point the amount of battle training the general public has gotten is likely to be from video games... which younger people play... which skews liberal.

But that aside, let's just look at some facts. Millennial military actually leans democrat. Ditto for all minorities in the military. Older and whiter leans republican (no surprises here). Conservative officers have been dropping over time (for liberal ones) but still hold a small majority. Even so, only 7% of all the living citizens of the US have ever served in the military and only .4 percent of the population is active Military. So take it easy with your chest bumping numbers. There aren't as many as you think. In general conservatives have no more experience with "life or death" struggles than any liberal. In fact, many more liberals have lived in big cities where you actually have dangerous areas. So again, take it easy with all the fantasy flexing.

But the reality is there will be no civil war. Americans, across the board, are materialist and lazy, and would rather watch reality TV and pretend that they are macho with keyboard typing rather than actually fighting (see above post).

dont underestimate democrats. they have the same power that the union had in civil war. bring in mass amounts of immigrants and have them fight to the death and wear the other side down.

us republicans dont want a bunch of illegal immigrants with criminal records pouring in. the democrats want them. when at war the military wont have time to babysit boarders, so the democrats will bring them in and arm them
