New York state subpoenas Cohen in Trump Foundation probe

Investigators in New York state have issued a subpoena to Michael Cohen as part of their criminal probe into the Trump Foundation.

The subpoena was issued after Cohen’s attorney said the longtime lawyer for President Donald Trump has information that would be of interest to prosecutors at both the state and federal level.

As a close Trump confidant, Cohen could potentially be a significant source of information for state investigators looking into whether Trump or his charity broke state law or lied about their tax liability.

CONFIRMED this good AP scoop. The investigators here are from NY state's Dept. of Taxation and Finance. They're working w/ the NY AG's office on an investigation of @realDonaldTrump's Fdn. There's already a civil lawsuit filed, point here is to see if a criminal case can be made.

They filed a lawsuit against the Trump Foundation in 2016. Trump refused to settle it, and it never went anywhere.

Really though we are about to see if a state can indict a sitting president.

Facts? You have actual facts?

I've been on ATS since 2007. There are no actual facts of intentional wrong doing by the Clinton foundation.

Trump is another story.
