Detroit Rep. Bettie Cook Scott on Asian opponent: 'Don't vote for the ching-chong!'

Scott is alleged to have referred to Chang as "ching-chang" and "the ching-chong" to multiple voters outside polling precincts during last Tuesday's election. She's also said to have called one of Chang's campaign volunteers an “immigrant,” saying “you don’t belong here” and “I want you out of my country.”

At another precinct, in Detroit's East English Village, Scott was overheard telling a voter, "Thanks for voting for me, you don't need to vote for that ching-chang." That comment was relayed to Metro Times by Kalaya Long, a volunteer with Voices of Women to Win.

Nice person .

I guess I should mention the person making the slurs was an African American Democratic Representative from Detroit.

Just one more quote from the article:

She was overheard telling multiple voters “Vote for me. Don’t vote for the ching-chong!” She also told Rep. Chang’s campaign staff that she called Chang’s volunteers “ching-chongs,” saying “I called them ching-chongs. That’s what they are!”

Reprehensible actions.

Thankfully, Scott lost and lost badly.

What else would you expect?

Democrats do politics in color.

EVERYTHING to a Democrat is about the color of your skin.

That's why I left them.

People of any color besides white are supposed to be members of the loving tolerant left.

Besides the rich white old people that run it.

Until you are any other color but white and start asking about silly things like "how are we as a country going to pay for this?"

Then you are an Uncle Tom, a ching-chong, an apple, in my case.

They just consider you someone who was stupid enough to wander off of Plantation V2.0 and you need to be silenced.

The Democrat party... proudly racist since 1828.

But if you're in the Party, hush-hush about that... because we need everyone else besides us to be racist. Because what else would we run elections on?

I was wondering about the Apple comment. Not up on my slurs it appears. You'd think a Nazi/Fascist like me would be more up on them.

I was commenting on your leaving the Party and how the #walkway movement is claimed to be a Russian invention by some Democrats.

The usual suspects feel they don't have to reply and will just wait until it is a Republican to start screaming.

Because they are hypocrites, they are aware of it and think it is kind of their super power.
