What do you guys think has been going on since 1957 in corporate us politics and social engineering.

Not saying it's a good the google example is one of the weakest out there comapred to the business as usual approaches used.

No they're not - some newswrags have proprietrs (onwers) - the proprietors have as much as 5% influence ond a standard day and 10% influence on content on a good day for them.

Plenty of free press out there, non advertised, written by ethical juornalists like Society of editors, frontline RSF, DispatcheS, BBC, Al Jazerra and many others- just a case of loojing for them - happy to provide detailed list and lins as is vital public info.

It sounds like you haven’t considered the possibility that this supposed “Google” posting is actually a Provokatsya message from a Russian troll. I have friends who work at Google and they never send emails with a Google masthead on the message.

Russian trolls aren't the ones doing the censoring. That being said yes there are buildings full of Russian trolls in Russia also trying to influence things as well. There are west trolls as well, I remember one posting to ATS in the last few years, this person admitted, they were handed talking points everyday and had to post them. Facebook, The Huff Post, Twitter, Reddit, 4Chan, and yes even ATS. He even mentioned some of the different topics, it was always to push the narrative a certain way, the way the deep state wants things to go.

I really think after the 2008 election cycle the state really got involved, after they saw the power Ron Paul had via just the internet, they figured they needed to get in on it. I miss those days, so few bots and trolls for the black hats in 07/08.

Some of us were not here in 1957 but thank you for allowing that to happen to us while you were still young enough to do something about it. We are going to try a different route though. It doesnt include ridiculing others for seeking out information they previously did not have.

I think it's pretty simple the American people are sick of this #. So we voted for Trump! The Deep state is real. If you do not see the battle going on you're blind.

I believe Reddit is doing the same thing. You don't go with the narrative that Russia hacked the DNC and influenced the 2016 election. Your comment will be down voted to where your comment is hidden, next thing you know Reddit will restrict how often you can reply, any comment you make won't show up if your logged out. Google does the same crap on youtube, you dare question things, your comments won't show up to people that don't log into youtube.

Bots on reddit to loo like a real person account can push any narrative the bot owners want, they can silence users comments from showing up down voting users comments they don't like.

There is information that I both like and do not like that is later proven untrue, reported by the media.

I am going to quote another ATS'er who talked about this more eloquently than I think I can, when they stated:

I agree with that line of reasoning, personally. We do not have an unbiased media, and the people talking in the news and on TV are just actors, not generally journalists. Most them do about zero research into the topics they discuss, and are one-sided in their discussions.

This is hilarious, as if Google being involved with politics is shocking, and here is why.

Most of us remember a time when some very loud conservatives had a mantra, that grew out of over-regulation of small businesses, that all regulation is bad, big government evil, in very principle, dismantle it, etc. Just get the government out of everything, but defense.

There was this Democrat senator, Earnest Hollings, I came to respect, though not, myself, a political hack of any political party, but sure as hell not Democrat, could say that much. But this man once pointed out how he's a proud regulator, that this is what he was elected to do, and also that Americans, liberal or conservative, love government benefits and regulation, that only a pervert would like sewage or radioactive waste in their drinking water, flies on their beef, potholes in their roads, home made drugs on the pharmacy shelves, the biggest conservative not refusing his Social Security check or Medicare reimbursement. (Remember that famous conservative guy, at a rally, that didn't want government involved in his Medicare? That says it all.) Hollings was right. You would not want to live in a nation, once dollar worship got done with it, if the nation was just military and police, but, otherwise, anything goes. Pure democracy, like India, you're free to die of starvation in the streets and people simply step over your body, that's getting in the way, this about as much as corporations give a damn about anything that gets in the way of profit, including you, their customers. Hollings was a smart man, made a clear and true point, one man's lake and fishing spot another man's toxic dump site, if there is nobody between. This is not a liberal or conservative debate thing, to people that aren't self destructive psychos.

Here's where it gets really, really juicy, and where hilarious comes in. This same Hollings retired, and he did a TV interview, to expose to the public, outright say it, what's going on with Congress, blow the whistle. K Street corporate lawyers are literally writing legislation they hand to their bought and paid for creatures in Congress, to turn into law. Often, the legislation is hardly read or debated, because everybody's doing it, everybody's bribed by special interest money, with a quid pro quo expected, most all of the legislators on the take this way, couldn't fund their reelection campaigns, without dirty money and doing their masters' bidding. What's hilarious? This interview was on national TV, and nobody said boo. I thought there would be an uproar, had no idea, myself, the legislation was literally being written by the corporations that benefit, then rubber stamped. I thought this was a real scandal of historic proportions, a scandal on steroids. Can you think of more unadulterated piss and corruption, in your face?

Well, near nobody said boo. The story died. Bet you didn't even know Senator Hollings revealed those things. K Street corporations have been writing your laws, for decades, and you, what, are having a gas pain Google has politics?

It's all just a comedy routine. By and large, people don't care, too busy memorizing each football player's stats or downloading porn. If it's alright for Exxon or Bayer to write your laws, what's the problem with Google having an opinion? You've even got Bing, if you don't like Google, and if Senator Hollings couldn't piss anybody off, you are expecting just what to happen?

Let's simply resolve it here that people are going to keep using Google, get it over with, then get on with your life, maybe focusing on things you actually have some say in and control over, get a life that doesn't revolve around Trump’s every Tweet, whether in opposition or in worship, heaven forbid the thought? You know what they say about everybody having an opinion, like a butt hole.
