If your like me and still a huge fan of the show - despite the utter disregard for fans and single handily almost destroying the show, by Scott Gimple.
Then you are excited for October 7th - The Walking Dead season 9 premier.

By the looks of the trailer we have skipped ahead a bit.
The communities are rebuilding and trying to establish a peace with everyone from the various groups.

We learnt earlier this year that Andrew Lincoln - Rick Grimes, and Lauren Cohen - Maggie Rhee, will be making season 9 their last stop in the walking dead universe.
Rumour now has it that Danai Gurira - Michonne, will also be leaving this season.
That’s at least 3 major character deaths for the show.

Darryl - Norman Reedus will be assuming the role of leader of our group of survivors.

With Scott Gimple being removed from the show, im very eager to see the direction that Angela Kang will be taking us.
The trailer looks great and even includes a bit of an Easter egg for whats about to be introduced this season as the villainous group threatening our “good guys”
At the 5:17 mark in the trailer listen very closely as the walkers go past....
Can you hear it?
“Wheeeeeerrrreeee aaaaaaaaaaarreeeee theyyyyyy”
Whisperers confirmed!

What a great show... it used to be.

Seriously, at this point the show itself is nothing but a zombie of what it once was.

I havn't watched since the the crazy bastard in the leather jacket split Glen's head open with lucy or whatever he called his bat.
I liked the escape and doom porn that walking dead gave me in the season prior to the extremely realistic violence. Not fun anymore for me. But to each their own.

Ya that scene was a bit too realistic and gruesome most people.

Been watching since episode 1 and kept up with it through thick and thin. Some dull seasons, some choices that upset me...rollercoaster which at times made me think it was the greatest show on TV, and other times wonder how it hasn't been cancelled. What a trip.

I suspect this is going to be the last season...yeah they could go on forever, but a TV show does have a lifetime and needs to eventually wrap it up. Do spinoffs or something.

My theory is that it will be a sort of end of the show...but the show will become its own spinoff of sorts, establishing a community at the end that is solid, and the ones left (not written off the show) will form a sort of tribe to seek out and help other communities in order to establish a society of basically united fifedoms across the south. Have a few shows back at their home base but mostly its following them travelling throughout the states to find others...sort of like star trek...but more zombies and less space.

The trailer looks fantastic, Cant wait.

I tried, but I just don't get the fascination with the show.
Especially after hearing all the disgruntled fan complaints.

Whisperers confirmed!

What do you mean by this?

I did hear what you said I would hear.
Are there rumors that the zombies will start talking are something?

The Whisperers are a bad guy group from the comic books.

Alpha.

I stopped TWD and FTWD last year. Don't miss it and will not watch any more episodes. I'll LL watch the highlights on YouTube of the final season finale. That's it. That's all.

Once Shane died, the show died in my opinion.

It's been a roller coaster for me, too. I've started and stopped watching through the years. It's been a gripping story though.

After hearing Andrew Lincoln was leaving I felt that was the end for me; he was the heart of the show. I've met Norman Reedus in person and he is so gross so moving forward I am not sure I will be watching after Andrew Lincoln leaves.

Too many of my original characters have left for me to continue to be interested. Its just not the same show. The characterizations seem to have been replaced with violence and shock.

It's time for this to end. It's been going for too long. This must be the last season... it has to be... there's nowhere left for it to go.

They build up and re-start afresh. No more zombies... the end.

I have been a fan of both TWD and FTWD for a long time and I think both shows have made some mistakes. Fear was going in the toilet but this season has been pretty good in my opinion. I do hate that Madison and Nick are gone and to me its a shame they killed off Carl last season on TWD. I understand Andrew wanting to be at home with his family and deeply respect him for that decision. Gimple made some changes that have upset most of the fan base and maybe that can get turned around this season.
I also like the talking dead show as well and I feel like Chris Hardwick got a raw deal from AMC. It seems we are all guilty until proven innocent anymore no matter the evidence. Don't get me wrong if he did do the things that were said then by all means drop him from the show, but until their so called investigation is over he should have at least got a chance to maintain his innocence and kept his show until positive proof was shown.

Think of savages whom dress in the skins of the dead. Live nomadically and move with the walker heard.
They live by rape, murder for the right to be leader, and just generally unpleasant folks.

Honestly I despised fear the walking dead.
But I gave it a shot because of the character cross over.
And really man, season 4 is the best season out of them all. Was even better than the walking dead season 7 and 8.
Trust me, give fear season 4 a shot.
You don’t even need to watch the previous seasons. It’s sort of like a start over.

I watched the season ender highlights on YouTube and saw it's the same old tropes the writers use. FTWD had so much potential but fell into the same traps TWD did. Once Troy died and the dam scene happened, I gave up. They need to focus on the Indians. They were the best thing in that whole season. The fact the Indians showed up at the perfect time? Didn't Carol do that at terminus? Yup. Both shows lost me. Couple that with the fact my daughter is too old/young to watch these shows anymore. Now days, it's Peppa pig and Larva.

Ya, wtf happened with that dam?
How was it the Nick was fine and dandy after blowing the thing up from under his feet.

I like how Fear has basically ignored all the previous crap and started fresh like.
