My update

Hey all. Thought id give you an update.

So since the last time, the following occured.

Still waiting on the heart transplant list. My right side is stable but is taking a beating. I also now have to be given iron infusions 3 times a week.

Oh and i died for a 3rd/4th time. They had to do a controller change, but as im 100% dependant on my pump as soon as they disconnect i instantly pass out and go into cardiac arrest. Tgis time it was only about 2 minutes.

But i continue, not living the dream, but living.

Well, you better get that heart pretty quick. We can't be losing you here. I sure hope that things start to fall in place for you so you can get back to a more normal life. Dying isn't really a good thing to do so cut it out.

We’ve discussed the LVAD before and your state of health; keep on keeping on, brother.

Something to think about: if you’re in the Midwestern US — heart transplants are definitely location-dependent— there are a surplus of good organs available from all the herion/Opioid OD deaths. Herion/Opioid donors are solid candidates for healthy organs namely, because the decedent is under 40-years old. And herion/Opioids only afffect the CNS — the harvested organs are, nominally, in transplant condition. Hopefully, you’re in Ohio or West Virginia or Michigan — lots of good, healthy hearts. Don’t believe me, google it. I’d link some articles, but ATS’s mobile feature sucks...just replying is a battle won.

Hi there ghost, been reading and rereading your gut wrenching story. I may not fully understand what you're going through or know exactly how you feel but it seems like you have plenty of support and people rooting for you on here (including me) and lady who must care very much for you. Good luck buddy and although tthings may seem dark as long as you're breathing and have people behind you there is always hope. Take care

Although we've never met , ... I think of you and your situation often ....I'm pulling for
