Amid continued uncertainty over whether or not a summit between President Donald Trump and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un will take place in the coming weeks, White House press secretary Sarah Sanders said the White House is still sending a pre-advance team to Singapore to prepare.
"The White House pre-advance team for Singapore will leave as scheduled in order to prepare should the summit take place," Sanders said in a statement Saturday morning.
White House officials had been scheduled to travel to Singapore this weekend to plan and review logistics for the anticipated June 12 meeting. Last weekend, they traveled to Singapore and were stood up by the North Koreans, who never showed, according to a White House official.
PENCE: Well, there's no question, but look it's -- we hope for better. We really hope that Kim Jong-un will seize the opportunity to dismantle his nuclear weapons program and do so by peaceable means. You know, there were some talk about the Libya model last week. And you know, as the president made clear, you know, this will only end like the Libya Model ended if Kim Jong-un doesn't make a deal.
Libyan rebels in Benghazi say they have formed their own central bank.
The rebel group known as the Transitional National Council released a statement last week announcing that they have designated the Central Bank of Benghazi as a monetary authority competent in monetary policies in Libya, and that they have appointed a governor to the Central Bank of Libya, with a temporary headquarters in Benghazi, according to Bloomberg.

I think that Trump and his main characters should make sure to have anti-toxins available to counteract any kind of poisons they may come in contact with on that trip. Kim had his own brother poisoned. I would bet he would love to take out our president. I do not think he would do it there, maybe someone will sneak into Trump's room and poison something he will use later or a toxin with an incubation period will be used.

Make Trump a martyr, and start a war? I don't think so.

Right, I agree that they weren't discussing the non-violent aspect of it. But I was just making sure we were discussing the same thing, as opposed to our support of the overthrow and subsequent murder of Qaddafi.

MACCALLUM: Some people saw that as a threat.
PENCE: Well, I think it's more of a fact.

The Libya model, in that context, is, I still believe, the military options we had laid out to annihilate Libya's nuclear production and storage sites, as well as taking out several vital military targets.
We didn't aid the Muslim Spring revolt in Libya because we were concerned about their military or weapons capabilities. That was a misguided shift in our foreign policy
