In spite of the controversies and hype, it looks like the Americans are going to Singapore to continue planning talks with NK.

WH Sarah Sanders said they're going anyway in case the Summit happens !!

Good move I suppose.

With NK and the probable insiders there who are against any meetings, we can expect more crazy statements from leaders there.

Whit e House says team heading to Singapore ahead of potential summit

Amid continued uncertainty over whether or not a summit between President Donald Trump and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un will take place in the coming weeks, White House press secretary Sarah Sanders said the White House is still sending a pre-advance team to Singapore to prepare.

"The White House pre-advance team for Singapore will leave as scheduled in order to prepare should the summit take place," Sanders said in a statement Saturday morning.

White House officials had been scheduled to travel to Singapore this weekend to plan and review logistics for the anticipated June 12 meeting. Last weekend, they traveled to Singapore and were stood up by the North Koreans, who never showed, according to a White House official.

Why not...

Millions of people are starving because of this man.

Maybe we could help end all that suffering.

Well, that’s my prayer.

I think everyone wants this to happen as long as a fair and sustainable deal can be brokered. I believe NK is actually wanting the talks to go forward, but Kim will want NK to look strong in the process of negotiations.

Fox news just had breaking news stating that Kim Jung Un has just stated that the summit is on, he wants de-nuclearization and will unequivocally attend the summit in Singapore.

Can't find a link, yet, fresh news. Will post one if found before my edit times out.

I think little Kim wants to meet Trump and make a deal but his people around won't let it happen. Don't need all those NK generals if the war is over.

Fantastic news and I really hope NK is not playing games again.

They requested the first meeting, as we all now know from the President's letter, and then they failed to show up for it and stood up the American delegates. I truly hope they make this one, but I have a sneaking suspicion that Kim may only be playing games again. Fingers crossed.

What happens if they stand us up the second time? Should the President give him a third chance?

And if it does go through, should Kim Jong Un be nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize since it was his government that initiated the talks and requested a meeting?

In reading about this back and forth between us and NK, something really stuck out for me and my conspiratorial mind. The reason why Kim Jong got mad and threatened to cancel the first meeting is because of something Pence said about NK being like Libya if they're not careful. This is what he allegedly reacted to:

PENCE: Well, there's no question, but look it's -- we hope for better. We really hope that Kim Jong-un will seize the opportunity to dismantle his nuclear weapons program and do so by peaceable means. You know, there were some talk about the Libya model last week. And you know, as the president made clear, you know, this will only end like the Libya Model ended if Kim Jong-un doesn't make a deal.

Fox News

However, what struck me as odd -- we all know Libya was a deep state operation, there were articles around that the rebels were being armed by the Rotschilds, and as one of the few remaining countries in the world that did not have a Federal Reserve bank, one of the first acts in power that the rebels made was the starting up of a Federal Reserve.

Libyan rebels in Benghazi say they have formed their own central bank.

The rebel group known as the Transitional National Council released a statement last week announcing that they have designated the Central Bank of Benghazi as a monetary authority competent in monetary policies in Libya, and that they have appointed a governor to the Central Bank of Libya, with a temporary headquarters in Benghazi, according to Bloomberg.

CNBC

This looked pretty fishy to everyone.

If you read between the lines it almost appears that Pence is threatening Kim Jong that he and the President are going to go all 'deep state' on him.

I think that Trump and his main characters should make sure to have anti-toxins available to counteract any kind of poisons they may come in contact with on that trip. Kim had his own brother poisoned. I would bet he would love to take out our president. I do not think he would do it there, maybe someone will sneak into Trump's room and poison something he will use later or a toxin with an incubation period will be used.

I was thinking the same thing.

Maybe a poison patch for the handshake, as revenge for the movie The Interview.

I believe that the "Libya Model", in this context, is referring to the former Lybian nuclear weapons program, and it's voluntary dismantling by Qaddafi after intense international political pressure.

Yes, but they were discussing the non-voluntary side, that's pretty clear. That's why it seems fishy. Pence wasn't using Libya in a good context in that interview and according to intel we were allowed to receive Kim did not appreciate it and halted communication, that ended in a missed pre-summit meeting.

Well, whether we think so or not, Kim could still do it, it's really not up to us. In fact, when the meeting was first announced, I had a very strong suspicion that it was Kim that asked for it.

My very first thought was -- he wants to take out the President publicly.

Right, I agree that they weren't discussing the non-violent aspect of it. But I was just making sure we were discussing the same thing, as opposed to our support of the overthrow and subsequent murder of Qaddafi.

I think we're misunderstanding each other... I am saying they ARE discussing the non-voluntary side; Pence is saying if NK does not conform they will be taken out, just like Libya.

Here's why I'm pretty sure he's saying that, from the link above:

PENCE: You know, there were some talk about the Libya model last week. And you know, as the president made clear, you know, this will only end like the Libya Model ended if Kim Jong-un doesn't make a deal.

MACCALLUM: Some people saw that as a threat.

PENCE: Well, I think it's more of a fact.

I think Pence is pretty clear and doesn't sugar coat it -- the President is threatening that NK will end up like Libya if they don't make a deal.

Anyone else find this odd when you read between the lines?

If you disregarded that this was the President and the VP making threats, if you just heard a random politician saying this and didn't know who it was -- it just screams "deep state threats", doesn't it?

The Libya model, in that context, is, I still believe, the military options we had laid out to annihilate Libya's nuclear production and storage sites, as well as taking out several vital military targets.
We didn't aid the Muslim Spring revolt in Libya because we were concerned about their military or weapons capabilities. That was a misguided shift in our foreign policy

But we absolutely aided the Muslim rebels and that's my whole point. We've been talking about this since 2011 and Hillary Clinton, particularly, has been at the center of this scandal. There are a ton of posts about it on ATS about Hillary, aka the Deep State, and her involvement and the cover ups of arming and providing support for the rebels. It was all anyone talked about here for months.

An example of a coverup

Makes me wonder; if that Pence quote above had Hillary in front of it, would there be any doubt as to the meaning of the message to Kim?

Yes, but the circumstances I'm referring to were long before then. There is no open rebellion in NK to aid, and if one started, Kim and Xi would squash it quickly and brutally.
