Well hello!

I am kind of new to forums and as much as I love to introduce myself it's usually done "in person" not usually over the web... So I will begin with just basics but still stick to one of the forum's theme. My name is Bree, I live in beautiful Colorado, I absolutely adore to read whatever I can get my hands on, I'm a NMT, and I have been an "empath" all my life. Which is something I have fully come to terms with only about a year ago.

I started noticing my special gift when I was around 8 years old and only with certain people. I, thankfully, knew that this wasn't some sort of social awkwardness on my part since I am very much a social butterfly but I'll NEVER forget the forever embarrassing time when my mother needed my help putting groceries from cart to checkout counter (a very easy task yes?) and I coward behind her because the man in front of us had an evil "force-field" that was literally about to undo my sanity seams. How can an 8 year old explain this without being sworn into the next asylum somewhere!
I swear living in Colorado gets you closer UP to the universe (where I'm at is 5,471 feet above sea level people!) which maybe makes you more "in tune" with the energy that surrounds all of us?? Who knows!
I think this is a good start! I do apologize though I tend to love my "quotations" and my (parenthesis) hopefully you all forgive me lol. Will be back!

Welcome fellow Coloradian!
I agree, being in the mountains gets you closer and more in tune with nature! We are at elevation 8,465 and camp at 10-11,000ft. So wonderful!

Oh yeah! Ppl just can't seem to enough of that R.M.H.
I love Colorado too but I will say it's slowly turning into the next California
Just without the palm trees. Visit the state before it's too late!

Whenever I go to the mountains I do feel this peace that overcomes my senses for sure! There really isn't anything quite like it that I have found. GREAT place for meditating if that is your thing. Husband and I are thinking of going "off-grid" and moving UP lol!

Welcome.
I’m flying to Colorado Thursday.
Colfax Marathon.
I’ll probably die.

Interesting story about the grocery clerk, turns out you eventually did end up the asylum.... it’s called ATS

Haha! Good on ya

The Colfax marathon won't kill you I promise. It's fun! Plus, I'm an NMT just let me know if you need some CPR and you'll probably need some Sports Medicine work to go along with that lol!

Lol, noted.

Any hotel or area recommendations?
After the race I’m hoping to check out breweries and other... legal things.

Any recommendations would be nice, though i don’t want to derail your thread ...

That's okay, this reply will only be for you!

Ooh! Go to the MOXY hotel at Cherry Creek! It's a neat, trendy hotel that is still nice but is going to be cheaper than the surrounding hotels... Well, most of the time. Plus last time I stayed I could actually see the marathon from my balcony. Pretty sweet.

When it comes to breweries... just seriously pick a direction and you'll find one! We are seriously the microbrew state lol you can find them anywhere. My fav though around that area is Cerebral Brewery.

Welcome neighbor. I'm way down south near the Sangre de Cristo Mountains.

I usually just say I'm at 7000 ft but since you were all exact and ATS members are supposed to deny ignorance and stuff, I thought I better look it up.

Apparently the elevation at my house is 6969 ft and I live near hwy 69 WTH. Guess it's better than all 6's LOL. I just love our state, ATS too.

Have a great summer/hope to see you around the boards.

Thanks for the info. Moxy might be the place.
Staying with family most of the time but want to peel off a day or two...

I run a brewery in Michigan so I’m exited to see/challenge your claim of the microbrew state 😉

Iv heard the Mexican food is awesome.
My only bummer is I’m there a week too late to catch Steven Wilson at the Ogden, and a couple weeks too early to catch Ween at red rocks. Guess I’ll have to come back.

Okay so I am gonna get this thread back on the "introducing" part and not all on Colorado lol believe it or not I don't have a favorite color I kinda just like them all
favorite food is alfredo pasta, probably because I am married to a Sicilian. One big thing about me that I take pride in is that my family is very much Irish. Call me a "plastic paddy" all you want lol If you don't know that means look it up it's funny! BUT my family happens to be Irish on both sides! I have an uncle who actually looked up our family history and turns out we had a castle in Ireland waaay long ago that is still standing and still livable! Crazy! It, unfortunately, has been owned by another family for years after ours took a little trip into "the new world" that we like to America now a days but he still went to visit it which is pretty awesome. I do plan on making a trip out there to visit it as well. I only need three more replies before I can start in on threads peeps! I believe in you and it would be greatly appreciated!!
