The real question is not can America win against Iran.................... That's a foregone conclusion. The real question is what to do with what remains of Iran following its defeat.

It's none of Russia's business what the USA does with any tin pot nation out there that exports terror through funding and equipment to attack western allies. It's just none of China's business either. When the day comes Iran will be Iraqified for sure. Bibi's not going to give in until Iran is taken out I absolutely guarantee you and his influence in the USA will see that this is done. Iran's time will come, sad but true. As a previous poster put it doesn't have to come to this if Iran plays ball, but if it continues on its path it will be Iraqified as sure as Not follows day like all the other misfits before them.

Look OP, you really don't get how powerful the US really is. We could go in with nothing more then a few cargo planes and flatten a nation with either bombs or cargo. If you think the US is some kind of weak nation then more power to your short sightedness. The reason why we got bogged down in the last few conflicts is that leadership was more concerned about nation building then winning wars. Don't like it, I don't care, you clearly only have eyes for anti-Americanism and that's your problem.

Go to the library and look at Jane's Defense. Look at what the US has as currently deployable equiptment, then look at the rest of the worlds. Come back here afterwards and tell us what you've learned.....I'll wait (kind of. Frankly I'm getting tired of people crapping on the US. Here's a question, "how great is your country?" "what war did they win without he US's help?" )


Oh and by the way, All we have to do is tell Russia that they can have access to the oils fields after we're done with Iran, and they'll not only step aside for us, but will let us use their air fields too. Iran isn't the Persian Empire, nobody really cares for Iran except for a few outer fringe groups. If (and oh boy that's a big "IF") Iran ever got it's act together, then maybe things would change, but until then it's just a hot mess of a dueling political/religious system that's more at odds with it's self to be anything other then what it is; Just a piece of land. Iran used to be a star of the middle-east, but after that disaster in the 1970's it's nothing but an issue.

are you really that nieve in what you write America is no superpower that other countries are scared of, in these Arab countries their religious ties run deep for thousands of years and if push comes to shove they will unite again and the great holy wars will start again then you will see a # storm that no one walks away from. as for Russia and China have no business with it, the rest of the world is saying the same about america, your cia are the number 1 sponsors of terrorism period

The answer is no. In Iraq which is a Shia majority country ruled by a Sunni man, it was mainly Shia who toppled Saddam, not the American army. In Iran that is not the case. Iranians are extremely nationalistic. They would never support a foreign power to topple their government. That, plus Russia dumping weapons to Iran via Caspian. It would be the end of GOP if Trump goes to war with Iran.

Exactly Putin's a businessman and reputedly the richest man on this planet. The rule of proxy wars is, the state that cares less, withdraws.

America repeatedly "steps down" from a confrontation with Russia on Syrian soil. This is because Russia depends on its base in Syria for it's whole Eastern Mediterranean strategy. So Russia is more willing to commit. When a US president figures this out (Obama took more than one reminder) he pulls his forces out.

China is realizing that it cares less about North Korea than Trump does, at least for now. So this week Kim is all polite hugging instead of shaking his fist.

And Afghanistan, that "graveyard of empires" keeps showing century after century that it cares more about independence than some Empire does about owning some mountain valleys too desolate for sheep ranching. Turns out the Soviets didn't really care if Afghan was free. Just like America has realized that it doesn't really care if some shepherds in the Khyber pass are a bunch of islamo-fascists. The Americans cared less, so they left too.

Iranians definitely care about their independence, for sure. But so do Kurds, Beluchis, Turkmen, Azeris, etc. And Iran may just force America (Trump) to realize that it cares more about ending Iran than it does about being loved over there.

At that moment, It'll be an American decision, not an Iranian one.

I did state at the very beginning was to get 2 sides of an opinion and have some fun at the same time but some have taken offence at some of the posts on here which was not the point of this thread, as for one line personal attacks on me oh well it goes with the politics i guess
