Dissecting a space alien

"You wanted to see me," asked Dar'Na.

"Yeah, get in here, close the door," Phi'Ja replied. "Listen, we got another one."

"That's great! Is it really dead? You have to be careful because they don't have a heart."

"Oh, yeah. It's pretty dead. They cut it's head off. We have it. They just cut it off to make sure."

"That's good. Is it a male or female?"

"Well, that's what I wanted to talk to you about. I don't know what it is. It's not male or female, that's for sure."

"Does it have a birth defect? What does it resemble?"

"It's no birth defect. It's a complex set of organs in it's groin. But it's a completely different set. A third set."

"A third set? A third set of what?"

"Sex organs."

"I know that but what is it? If it's not male or female...."

"Sir, your the alien biologist so I was hoping you could tell me."

"When you think about it, it could make some sense of it. It has three arms, three legs, three fingers on each hand, three toes on each foot. Three eyes, three ears. So it makes sense that they would have three sexes."

"But how does that work? What does the third sex do?"

"I have no idea. Can you take me to it? I want to examine it."

"Yes, Sir. It looks just like the others except for the sex organs."

"Does it look more male or more female?"

"It doesn't look like anything I have ever seen."

"Alright, take me to it. I'll start cutting it open right away."

Yes Sir. Follow me please."

Yep, makes sense. Since it has 3 arms, 3 legs, must have 3 sexes.
Does it have 3 eyes? Three testicles?

I'll try to add more this evening. I'm working on a story that has the organization of Star Trek, the chaos of Star Wars and the terror of Alien.

Imagine if "Alien" had 3 arms, 3 legs and 3 eyes......

What the story doesn't have is Earth. The aliens made the Earth go bye bye. They not only blew up the Earth, they blew up every planet in the Sun solar system just to prove they could.

So humanity has become a Nomadic race, terrorized by the thought of living on a planet out of fear of having another encounter with them. So planet walking has been declared a high crime. It's for your protection.
