North Korea Is Prepared To Discuss Denuclearization

North Korea has told the United States for the first time that it is prepared to discuss the denuclearisation of the Korean Peninsula when North Korean leader Kim Jong Un meets President Donald Trump, a U.S. official said on Sunday.

White House officials have not said where the Trump-Kim summit will be held. The agenda of the meeting is not yet known, and North Korea has not been clear about what steps it is willing to take to move toward denuclearization.

I would say, it is not out of the question that someone had a serious talk with him during the recent surprise train ride to China.

He had the audacity to both trash-talk and threaten China last year, and that did not go over well in Beijing. I imagine that he lost a LOT of his leeway there.

Cautious optimism...

North Korea has done this a few times before and always reneged on their commitments. The way Un has been going with his all of a sudden about face makes one wonder if he is simply trying to stall for time.

It will never ever happen..

Every regime who has stopped their nuclear program due to western pressure has instantly toppled..


However, no nuclear power has EVER been invaded.. nor has any nation to become a full blown nuclear power EVER given that up..


If we wanted to stop NK from getting nukes, Bush Jr. is the last guy to have a chance at invading without risking a nuclear retaliation.
