Trump to unveil opioid plan seeking death penalty for drug dealers

I guess some people in the "U"S big pharma and the health "care" business should have to sleep not that well anymore:

President Donald Trump will unveil a plan on Monday to combat the opioid addiction crisis that includes seeking the death penalty for drug dealers and urging Congress to toughen sentencing laws for drug traffickers, White House officials said on Sunday.

Trafficking, i have to think of the CIA, the miltary, i have to think of Laos, the Golden Triangle, Air America, at the time of the vietnam war. And now it´s Afghanistan. Since the "U"S and the NATO interventions Afghanistan produces 90% of the world wide used opium. Before these interventions it were only 20%, short before the interventions the Taliban even brought it down to 0%. Then the interventions started and... yeah, i know, only coincidences, nobody in the west profits from the worldwide opium business...

Who produced the pills that made the most now opium addicted "U"S citizens addicted? Who has written the prescriptions, opium pills for/against everything, again and again, till the people couldn´t pay for them anymore?

But i am pretty sure that are not the traffickers and dealers that Trump meant, i guess he meant the darker skinned dealers on the streets, that give those that are addicted now, because of the "U"S health "care" system and the "U"S big pharma, what they think they need.

Since i heard this news, i have to think the whole time of ...Double D, Donald Duterte, can´t get it out of my head anymore.

Except for the mules and cartel that work for the gubment, they will get released over and again.

Let's put them all in the Astrodome and have them recreate famous historical battles while fighting to the death. All citizens would get free tickets and we can televise the festivities. The Emperor can come and watch from his box too.

Oh good, Trump is trying to force his love for Duterte on the whole country.

The opioid epidemic is a complex issue. If Trump's solution is to kill drug dealers then he clearly doesn't actually understand the issue. Especially since it's been shown in study after study that the death penalty does not act as a deterrent for any crime.

Not sure what to say about this. The fact that the Windsor Royal Family made many of their billions of dollars off the Opium trade (and may still be in it today for all we know,) and the fact that there were (are?) US soldiers guarding the poppy fields in Afghanistan, makes this a convoluted mess.

Will Trump gather up any and all in the government that's complicit with furthering the drug trade world wide, past and present? Surely he's fully informed about the government's participation in the drug trade? The level of corruption in the political ranks makes me fairly certain that the drugs confiscated by enforcement in raids is not being destroyed. There's far too much profit to be made there and certain types of individuals that seem to be attracted to political ambitions just can't pass that up.
