Well, actually I don't have crabs.
But I would really love some!
When is soft shell crab season? I can be down in New Orleans for a Po Boy in no time.

If you want a fresh softshell, during the heat of the summer. The rest of the year, chances are you will be getting one that has been frozen.

Some stores (even common grocery stores) have live lobster and crabs (hahaha) in tanks....
Shop around.
But the New Orleans idea sounds good. Dining with some good New Orleans jazz in the background.
Now , you got me started
I am going on vacation next month (or maybe next week)

I had crabs once back in the seventies. I don't know why anyone would want them.

I dispute this though, there is something uglier.. 3 drunk Aussies in a hotel in Mandurah leaving the poor cleaning ladies a load of crab bits and guts and beer cans. How they ever let us stay there, as we wandered in telling them we were hunter thompson and company, I'll never know.

I have a spot about 20 min from me that has blue crabs year round. Don't ask me how they do it, but it is like a gift from god.

I thought a Po boy was a shrimp sandwich... Try Maryland it's the blue crab capital of the world. PS leave the lemon juice the hell alone thats not meant for crabs; old bay and a special shampoo are.

Those kind of crabs are also soft shelled crabs.
But you need to gather a lot of them together to amount to any kind of substantial meal.

I tried. It takes like 3 Phish shows and then you should have enough for a sandwich...
