Big bang - abiogenesis - fish - monkey - humans

I thought that was what evolution theory is about.

Apparently you don't have a clue.

The common ancestor is never shown because they don't have a common ancestor. The theory of evolution is, obviously, a theory. One that's hard to buy into when so many things we came from still remain the same.

Perhaps a certain evolution exists, but when someone tries to convince me a particular non-existing deity made humans from fish I'm having doubts.

Well yeah, because evolution theory doesn't state that. You are just repeating ignorance and ignoring all the evidence. A theory in science is the HIGHEST standard. Gravity, cells, germs, atoms are theories. Are you doubting those as well? Of course not, because you aren't honest. Science deniers NEVER are.

No need to be a pompous jerk off just because the entire world doesn't agree with everything you believe. I don't believe in evolution either. I think it's a crock of # and I love science, I just don't buy everything they sell me hook line and sinker. Do you think we're responsible for global warming, too?

Science denier you say... Heh... Probably one of the most, if not THE most, retarded terms of the 21st century.

That's right. Because when it comes to science, you either believe it in its entirety or you're one of those "science deniers" even though they seem to have all the facts and don't present them. It's odd, nothing has more theories than science, yet we're supposed to believe it all as truth. Times like these make me second guess the whole evolution thing because I begin to think some people really do come from apes.

Science isn't/contradicts religion so it must be true.

It's also the most accurate term. It is people who basically cherry pick and accept all science that is okay with their personal beliefs and deny all that is not compatible or inconvenient. It's nothing new. It happens with evolution, climate change, and many others. You don't care what the evidence says, you just know in your heart of hearts that they are wrong, but only in these select few instances, other than that science is great!

Great attitude to have in 2019 when the entire world runs on science now.

talkorigins.org...

Evolution is a known fact. Nobody has ever refuted any evidence. I'm not being pompous, I'm just stating facts. Science denial requires a special type of arrogance. If somebody lies about evolution or misdefines it, I am going to correct them. It's not about my beliefs, it's about what the evidence shows, and denial holds no merit whatsoever.

www.livescience.com...

It might be good to know what a theory is in science. Science is a method which follows evidence. It's not dogmatic at all. Arguing against it is dumb unless you are a scientist that has a grasp on everything that has been done as far as research and experiment.

Oh, THAT'S how the scientific method works. Thanks for filling me in!

The scientific method works because it examines evidence. Does cell theory or gravity contradict religion? Even evolution does not contradict the idea of a god.

Evolution is basically change in allele frequency over time mostly caused by genetic mutations and natural selection. It's not big bang or abiogenesis, nor does it claim fish morphed into humans.

LMFAO at your silly straw man. If you don't even grasp evolution you shouldn't bother discussing it, it just makes you look incompetent. It's been proved that genetic mutations occur during every cell replication. It's never once been observed for a cell to replicate perfectly. But I'm sure you have evidence of such, right?

Stop the ignorance.

talkorigins.org...

It's pretty much slam dunk proven. Surely you can refute some evidence. Oh wait.... we all know how that goes with the deniers. You will ignore / deflect and pretend it isn't there only to repeat the same BS claims again. Get ready for a myriad of weak excuses to ignore the evidence, folks. Happens every time.

So you believe the theory is reality but don't agree with us calling you a mutant, which you obviously would be when the theory of evolution is fact?

It doesn't matter anyhow, to me you're not a mutant, no matter how hard you will try to convince us.

not the original species

rumors go a single cell organism mutated into a human (over a long long period of time)

I think the most evident proof of evolution would probably be found in the mutations witnessed in bacterial strains as they become increasingly resistant to antibiotics. Wouldn't you call that process evolution? Take TB for instance, it is becoming ever more resistant to antibiotics over time.

I think the correct word is 'adaptation', i.e. bacteria have been designed to adapt.

but.. isn' it any kind of adaption can be considered a mutation?

The fish who came to land grew limbs over the years (I know
), that's an adaption, but the fish transformed, isn't that also a mutation (change caused by exterior influences)

sure you can consider it mutation but the problem is the downward effect of the mutation. Mutation in a cell is never beneficial to its carrier. On the other hand, adaptation is always beneficial. One must adapt in order to survive.

As for the fish becoming an amphibian - it's all speculation based on preconceived ideas. There's no evidence for it other than circumstances interpreted by its proponents.

It's a giant leap, I mean as big as the Grand Canyon to bridge the gap between fish to amphibian.

Do you think humans have the capacity to change the environment so they won't adapt?

Sure, we have the capacity to change the environment, but experience had shown at a limited level. If we don't constantly adapt to the changing environment, we perish. Humans are like a man on a floating boat in the middle of a vast ocean. If you don't adapt to the way the ocean behaves, you die. In a similar vein, if we remained constant, unchanging to environmental change, humanity should have been long gone.

Funny when that happens. I go with evidence, you go with straw man arguments and absurd broad generalizations based on propaganda and ignorance. Good luck buddy. Hope it works out for ya.
