It's been almost 6 hours now without ice! The hotel keeps apologizing and they comped some of our drinks, but damn, we need our ice!
I see now where all the ice went... the Bomb Cyclone took it.

Damnit we need ice!

All of us should complain about the cold and rejoice in places that are not cold.

Nobody cares if you are on a beach, and nobody cares if you are freezing your ass off.

Michigan has the most Lighthouses of any State. When you've seen one, you've seen them all. Honestly most of the ones I have seen have been pretty cool. A lot of them are old fashioned ones.

Brrrr! Why It's So Cold

nowhere has there been a reason given as to Why-It's-so-Cold with the Arctic cold in North America

my bet is because all the Ash & Volcanic soot blown up in the skies with something like 75 once idle Volcanoes becoming re-activated...all parts of the world including the Russian peninsula called Kamchatka having 5 eruptions all at once last year...

my guess is that the soot & Ash, thermal updrafts from the Volcanoes is changing the trade winds & air currents are getting erratic...

but there must be something measurable in the Gulf Stream also, because that Ocean Current is allowing freezing air masses into all the Empire -> GB or England, et al.
the normal Gulf Stream Current kept Englands kinda moderate but moist year round, but that's no longer the norm

volcanoes and possibly ocean floor hot vents that changes the temperature so the warmer water sinks lower leaving cooler water to interact with the surface air currents

Good answer, I was thinking also a thread here about the ice age coming in the UK by another op. By 2030 things are going to cool off quite a bit from what I can tell.

Mother nature is huge...really big... in Trump's best impersonation. The bottom line is a couple of volcanoes wipe out what we humans can screw up in decades. Little ice age was a few big volcano eruptions followed by some solar minimums and sea current changes and BAM! 400 years of really cold weather.

Damn that mother nature...

It's -7 where I am and the high for today is 15. I have to put a new thermostat in my truck and I don't have a garage, so I'll have to do it in the driveway.

Your sympathies and hot toddies will be gratefully accepted.

I swear, as soon as I got up and ripped those freakin' burlap sheets off my bed, I thought about you and those heavy buckets, and how good you are to your critters. *admires*

It's a killer 21 degrees on my patio, but the sun is shining brightly. The good news is it's Sat. and I don't have to go outside. I may stay in my flannel p.j.'s and Uggs all day. Unless I decide I MUST have the lemon bars I've been thinking about for two days, then I'll have to go to the bakery. Maybe if I wait until 1:00, it will be up to 25. Yay.

Good, I am sorry we go off on the wrong foot. I am sorry if I offended you in the past, and I really will try and be respectful too you....Political differences, don't mean we are bad people. Sometimes, we have to agree to disagree. I am sure we have more IN COMMON than not.

Spent the night in the ER, after a hit and run, by a motor bike, going about 45 mph while I was trying to flag them down for speeding up and down our street the past few days on the bike. The son of a gun, actually veered 10 feet to the side of the road I was on to INTENTIONALLY hit me.

11 stiches in my hand and tons of road rash. Very painful. I Will get this SOB as I am sure they live close, and last night the cops were taking forever, had to finally have my neighbor drive my partner and I to the ER, cause we just happened to have a couple of drinks, and I, nor my partner will EVER drink and drive. An ambulance was not needed, but man this person literally could have killed me. I think hard drugs are involved, because who would intentionally do such a thing. CRAZY!

Thank you for being the bigger person!! Peace, and Happy New Year.

Why is it so Hot you mean. I'm in Vegas and it's January and jeans and T-shirt weather. I pray for some cold weather right about now.
