Predictions for 2018

First and foremost, there will be no WWIII. The fear of it will be pushed to new heights and increased hang-wringing, but it won't happen....again...or still.

Mueller will continue his investigation all of 2018.

We will see industry specific tariffs on selected imports into the U.S. but not nation specific, at least not yet.

We will see a new issue that requires U.S. military response in the ME.

Ruth Bader Ginsburg will serve the full year on the Supreme court.

There will be no agreement reached on the U.K. departure from the EU.

The New England Patriots will be the best team in the NFL in the 2018 season.

Overall planet-wide temperatures will continue to drop, while real environmental pollution increases.

Feel free to add to the list, with or without clarification, even in contradiction to the OP predictions. This should be interesting....

Someone, at sometime, will call someone else on this website a 'snowflake'.

First of all, I would like to say that global temperatures are continuing to increase and will increase next year as well.

Reality has debunked the ‘warming stopped’ myth For a long time one of the favorite climate denier myths involved claiming that we hadn’t seen any global surface warming since 1998. That myth has fallen by the wayside since 2014, 2015, and 2016 each broke the global surface temperature records previously set in 2010 and 2005 (which were also both hotter than 1998).

Yet the myth persisted for years because 1998 was anomalously hot due to the monster El Niño event that year, which meant that global temperatures weren’t much hotter than 1998 until 2014 to today. Now the first six months of 2017 have been 0.3°C hotter than 1998, despite the former having no El Niño warming influence and the latter being amplified by a monster El Niño. In 1998, there was also more solar energy reaching Earth than there has been in 2017.

2017 is so far the second-hottest year on record thanks to global warming

The situation with North Korea will come to a head.

Mueller will continue his investigation, and more of Team Trump will get in trouble with the law, although there will be no clear evidence of collusion

Red will introduce a holographic mobile phone to the market in the first quarter of 2018

Altcoins will rise faster in price than Bitcoin

There will be more mass shootings

We might see the effect of net neutrality being repealed, although companies might wait until after the 2018 elections to do anything major

Democrats will win 2 seats in the Senate in the 2018 elections, but will not take the House

Tom DeLonge is arrested whacking it in San Diego after a Bath Salts incident or as he referred to them Alien Communication Crystals, as in he screams this at the cops as they take the Bath Salts away from him.

NK will be dealt with by China and the US
Germany will meet England in the latter stages of the world cup and win

Wigan will win league 1
Luton will win league 2
Man city will win the EFL cup
Man city will win the champions league
I will be older
My wife will hopefully behave better
There will be more terrorist attacks on all our streets
Prince Philip will croak
One could go on

That at the end of the year, there will be another thread about 2019 predictions here on ATS.

Royal weddings.
The pound will probably fall by another 10% as Brexit approaches.
