I apologize if this has been posted already but I looked around and couldn't find it. So if it has been posted please move MODS.

So here is the story:

UFO hunters rage over mysterious white object spotted in NASA launch footage
www.mirror.co.uk...

The shimmery white spectacle can be seen in the clouds alongside the fuel tank discarded from the space shuttle Endeavour after it blasts off for its final mission in May 2011.

Originally posted on NASA's official YouTube channel, the old footage has been dug up and re-examined by UFO enthusiasts. It was re-uploaded to the channel UFO Today , which is dedicated to "the UFO phenomena".

According to the channel's interpretation, the strange object is the "White Knight Satellite" - a rumoured extra-terrestrial craft that has been secretly orbiting the Earth for thousands of years.

It can be seen in the clip when the fuel tank is jettisoned from the NASA craft minutes after take-off.

Although NASA takes a dim view of these kinds of conspiracy theories, the space agency does think we'll make contact with extra terrestrials sooner rather than later.

Either way that object is pretty cool whatever it is. It seems to be going towards the tank and then turns away. Not sure if this is controlled or not but it moved quickly. I haven't seen that before. So....What are your thoughts ATS?

White ? knight. I have heard of the dark knight satellite but not this one.

Looks like just a piece of the fuel tank to me.

I think any fool would be able to see that object is not a sattilite.. Why do people persist on pushing this nonsense? Makes a mockery of the whole ufo/alien subject.

Please label the area of fuel tank to me in this photo you think it is. I really can't think of it..moreover, the white fuel tanks keep their shape upon returning back to Earth.

I would need to see a 3d model of the fuel tank to try and find it.

The unknown object is white the fuel tank is white ,it's near the fuel tank..
Seems obvious to me that it's a piece of the fuel tank.

Edit: not the fuel tank I am talking about it being a piece of those white rockets on the sides. What are those called?

They are called BOOSTER ROCKET...*correction*

They are called thruster rockets I think?

Well I believe that the white thing could be part of those or part of the system that connected them to the fuel tank.

The links of booster to external tank are very simple. The separation from the rocket system is very clean.

I believe it is the "Black Knight" satellite.

The story is that previous to Sputnik being launched there was a satellite in polar orbit. Then it moved from that position and would travel from east to west across the US. The thing moved about on it's own. Then, the radio transmissions were "decoded". The whole thing takes a life of its own in CT land. It moved out to a lunar orbit at some point. It has also been "seen" in some photos that skeptics debunk as heat shielding from near earth orbit.

From a personal conversation with an retired gentleman who worked on certain satellite related projects in the 60s, the Black Knight satellite is the real deal. NASA received several new transmissions from it in the late 70s and early 80s that have never been released or even acknowledged.

I know it is not proof and only third party with some random guy but the way he reacted to my reactions has me convinced he's the real deal too.

White Knight satellite?? Aw, c'mon! Think of a better name and quit trying to glom onto the other story. If it did not send out a transmission then the two are not related.

Whatever it is (I refuse to call it "White Knight"), it seemed curious of its new neighbor!

When the cryogenic propellant lines from the tank into the Orbiter pop loose, filagrees of ice that had formed around the rims break loose and sometimes passed through the cameras filming the departing tank.

I thought it looks like a sheet of ice peeled away from the tank, but It almost seems to distort slightly, like it's a sheet of fabric or plastic.

I'd love to find out how you determined that, and whence you got such confidence in the estimate.

Actually at 2:03min...it does actually look like something is breaking up on that white object. I apologize for over-exaggerating...but honestly, I do think you have a valid point. I zoomed in on the object...and in some areas appears transparent.

I had to drink some home-made veggie juice...celery and carrots kicked in..I calmed down and opened my mind.

What happened to the Black Knight satellite?

Or the obvious question really, is this rogue pre-Sputnik beast capable of changing colour/shade and or a possible racist?
