We're always screwed and there's nothing we can do.

But to liken providing health care services to being raped is, honestly, pretty absurd and unfairly and highly exaggerated.

This is how Obama confidently took on a room full of Republicans all on his own in an open debate. He knew he was on the side of truth. Insurance Companies rape you and a better system can be had. But he also knew their balls were all twisted by insurance companies. It was pretty pathetic... A room full of republicans and he crushed them all.

I could talk all night about what a better deal it is to ax the for-profit middle man insurance comapny-- who doesn't even guarantee coverage -- but always takes your premiums -- vs a system where you actually get the healthcare you need without the gigantic bill.

Just saying... that's where the discussion needs to go. Beyond for-profit health insurance companies.

There are people going bankrupt because of healthcare, incurring massive burdens of debt because of healthcare bills through no fault of their own. Health Insurance companies take premiums and often deny coverage even to people paying for expensive insurance.

You're saying that's the best we can do? I disagree.
