Children set alight at nursery school in Brazil

This is a tragedy which happened yesterday but sort of flew under the radar probably because it happened in Brazil. But what could cause a guy to do this? He's understood to be 50 years old Security guard with some MH issues but what posessed him to murder these children and the teacher? He sprayed them with alcohol then set them alight. Many more children could have died but thankfully they got out of the building.

Another odd thing is that 7 people died out of 70 people in the building in a Town of 70,000 population and there's been 7 days of mourning declared. 7,7,7,7 and 7 is the number for God. Surprised it didn't happen on the 7th Oct although it was close.

Six children and a teacher have died after a security guard at their nursery school sprayed them with alcohol and set them on fire, said emergency services. Around 50 people were injured, 15 of them seriously, as the blaze ripped through the Innocent People nursery in Janauba, southeastern Brazil

You'd think ya children would be safe at nursery.

as i said in another thread, the world is a unsafe place always has been always will be, you never know when some jack leg is going to pull some sorta sh@@.

I think the psychopaths of the world are having a collective hay day.

They're spurred on by the stories in the media of other psychopaths.

This one is truly horrific in its own right. At least when you're shooting at people two football fields away, you're removed in a sense.

But alighting children on fire---that's really personal.

I shudder to see what's in store for humanity as the sick get sicker in our modern, wayward world.

It's not going to get better. That's for sure.

That's what happens when people prefer to use "round" numbers instead of accurate numbers. The town has around 67,000 people, the teacher that the first news reported as being killed, apparently, is still alive, the 70 people in the building were 75 children and 17 staff personnel. The 7 days mourning is the only correct number.

I don't know where they got that information, as Brazilian sources say that he worked on that school since 2008 but in September he told them he was sick and didn't go to work. Yesterday they went to the school to give them the sick leave papers. There's no report of what his sickness was.

Interesting post. Reading more. You should change the heading, because it doesn't say the kids were killed. Just my opinion.
