BAD NEWS - Las Vegas Mass Murderer Stephen Paddock Fits No Existing Terrorist Profile.

ISIS are at the stage where they are indiscriminately claiming any terrorist action that happens. I think they probably claimed this one on a "rubber stamp" basis before the shooter was identified as an apparent WASP.

Perhaps this guy's motive was that he really hated country music and was tying to get some sleep. You know that annoying neighbour who plays their music in the middle of the night? And that grouchy old neighbour who always complains about the noise of your music when it's not even that loud? Those, combined, times 1,000.

Other than an addiction to watching Fox News he seemed like a normal guy.

But seriously, it just goes to show you money doesn't equal happiness. Without a strong connection to community and the well-being of others then life has a lot less meaning. Obviously, once he snapped, he no longer saw other people's lives as being sacred and certainly had no empathy for the people who lost love ones. Otherwise, he would not have done such an unthinkable act.

For example, they are pushing gambling and jilted romance as 2 possible "causes".

Neither have anything to do with the events last night.

If Gambling dissatisfaction was a motive, you'd think that Paddock would have attacked a casino.

Jilted Romance? There was a girlfriend staying with him for part of the time in Las Vegas. Police found her debit card in his hotel room.

I was coming to say just what you said. He's not a white supremacist, he's not a nazi, he's not antifa, he's not daesh, he's not tumblr, and he's not 4chan.

He was simply a wealthy individual who's grasp exceeded his reach. He achieved a good amount in life and likely faced some amount of disillusionment with his current station. The boredom, lack of challenge, and sheer banality of it all may have gotten the best of his mind. I am reminded of "The Most Dangerous Game", Emperors with private gladiatorial arenas, and Kings who would simply start conflicts despite their control over territory being absolute.

Now, all of this is subject to change given the evolving nature of the situation, but if the words remains sparse...it's likely the idle mind that won out in this very wealthy individual.

I'd say, shun those who are trying to put a left or right wing slant on this situation without any substantial proof.
I remember certain fools were running wild with accusations of him being a Trumpet, a member of Daesh, or a Pink hat wearer...ignore them.

Yeah I'm looking for the primary source at the moment but as I go up the google food chain on that it looks more like a possibility rather than confirmed. Either way though gambling a lot by itself does fit one basic sort of patsy profile.

Very possible the real culprit shot him and dumped his body in there for cops to find.
I didn't think of that actually.

Unfortunately we live in such a divisive society, both in our domestic and foreign views that attacks are inevitable.

Until we change our societal view, these are going to be a constant as they have post WWII as we exited isolationism.

Once we become comfortable enough with out domestic and world view and stop approaching both with dominance, we'll start to see less backlash.
