I don't like these people trying to take rights away from Americans.

Even if I don't use a particular right I don't want it taken away from others.

More freedom...less Government.

Extensive research?

Then he should now have a Doctorate in Pornography, then, right?

The OP say '“favorited” a tweet back on January 8'. I think it takes a bit more "research" than that to make a big deal out of this.

I don't tweet so I can't say what that amounts to. Can you watch porn on Twitter?

Apparently you can.

US senator Ted Cruz is attempting to clean up an embarrassing social-media mess after his Twitter account was discovered to have “liked” a troublesome tweet. The official account of the Republican senator from Texas “liked” a tweet late yesterday (Sept. 11) that featured a two-minute pornographic clip. And because “likes” are public, it was quickly noticed and widely reported. The senator’s senior communications advisor has tweeted a statement saying the interaction has been reported to Twitter. Cruz offered more details this morning to reporters:

qz.com...

I won't link to an example of a porno Twitter. But apparently it warns you of the content.

Politicians have a private persona and a public persona. Hilary said something along those lines to those people on wall street.

Personal stance and a public stance.

I enjoy porn but I think it should be mandatory on a .xxx domain requiring age verification to access. The internet needs to be split up to protect the health of the human race, I agree with this state rep. Perhaps I will give his campaign a hand out here.

Explain how it's a "public health crisis".

too easily exposed to minors on unregulated portable electronic devices, that affects the mental health of entire generations of citizens. Since we cannot go a step too far and make a regulated presence onto the device itself, we have to compromise at the source. The access point for any adult related content should be remanded to either an industry/NGO watchdog group or whatever department/agency handles like the movie ratings.

Maybe move them all into one consumer watchdog agency that teams up with he FCC or something for pornographic material. Dating and hookup sites should be exempt for whatever reason, as a compromise lets say. Can we live with this??

How does that relate to what the dude in the OP was trying to pass a bill for?

What do you mean how does it relate?? I literally answered the question as to how pornography is considered a health hazard, and the OP is about the man who wants to designate pornography as such.

My entire response is literally on point with the OP. Hey look, everyone still gets to have their free porn, myself included. I just think that society should take the next step and push adult content on to its own domain that has age verification security like fort Knox.

Are hackers going to hack it?? Obviously, hackers hack everything. Are seven year olds going to hack it to though so they can watch pornography on the smart TV after school?? Not likely, or perhaps one out of ten thousand may be able too. But as we sit right now, children have to put in absolutely zero effort to harm their minds by accessing hardcore pornography. If we as a society refuse to address these issues, We may as well just leave packs of cigarettes, open containers of alcohol and loaded guns lying around everywhere. Either that, or remove any age limit to view pornography, because it may as well be that way now. There is literally zero roadblocks stopping the majority of children from watching this material which can be classified as a health hazard for children.

This man is not the rep for my district, but I will be following him more closely now, give him my support wherever possible.

Who wants to shake hands with someone who just got through bing-watching porn? That is, if they're right handed.

It reminded me of this: Trump and protesters (A cartoon by Mike Luckovich)

Satire

Satire is the way of using humor, irony, or exaggeration to criticize people's stupidity.

Irony

Saying the opposite of what you mean is "irony". The situations where there is a wide difference between reality and expectations are also called "irony".
