I misunderstood, so I apologize! I don't always read *intent* well on the internets. This isn't the first time and won't be the last, I am sure.

One lady who is not overweight but is packing maybe 20 extra pounds has been asked this question.
When are you expecting ? Her answer "In about 6 hours" the puzzled response is met with "you know that burrito I had for lunch/supper". It's her way of spinning it back on them to not ASSume, and not to be a thoughtless donkey about it.

I worked with a woman that actually looked that she was very pregnant, but she wasn't. No men asked her when she was expecting (as I witnessed), but a woman did (I witnessed this). She didn't get offended or angry, but she was surprised.
