In the days since Trump's election the world has come to see a media spectacle like no other. There is literally a civil war going on between the Whitehouse and the News stations. It has gotten so bad, that one begins to wonder who actually controls the USA. Is it the President or the media whom seek to shape and form opinions and policy through over exposure of whatever agenda takes their fancy?

Given the hysteria over Russian hacking that is very quickly turning out to show how much the media is prepared to lie to bring down a POTUS they do not like, what does Russia think of all of this?

See below for a very informative and from my perspective anyway, pretty on to it summation of what is going on over there in USA right now.

I don't think Russia is a major player. The US is not descending into civil war giving Russia the opportunity to invade and conquer the US. Unlike Russia where media is state controlled, there is no state controlled media in the US. Trump going after certain media corporations is by no means war on media. Sure, CNN is targeted. But Fox News is not.

The video makes no claim of Russia wanting to take over. It actually says that relations between the two are abnormal because they (Russia) actually do not know where they stand with Trump.

Trump has not met with Putin yet, nor have they discussed much of solid merit. They are actually signalling that they want to talk and see where they can cooperate with the USA. The presenter in the video is very rational and matter of fact about it all.

How are you guys getting Russia want to invade from this thread? Lol.

The video talks about how Trump is under extraordinary attack from the US media and that from their viewpoint it is getting in the way of Trump being able to run the USA as effectively as both he and Russia would like. Russia wants to know where they stand with him because they, believe it or not, are open to better relations.

The roadblock, as it has always been, is political interests. And they vary from president to president. So they want to know what they are dealing with in Trump and whether it is good news or bad news for the USA / Russia relationship.

Lol,

Well it could go badly. Who knows? Trump has upset some of the USA's closest allies since he was sworn in, after all he is a man who follows his own agenda. We've already seen that. After all, he invoiced Germany for the USA bases there and he shouted at the PM of Australia over a refugee deal for instance.

And that is what has the Russians guessing - where do they fit into his grand plan?

Putin wants them SANCTIONS lifted.

White House and Putin Among Biggest Critics of Russia Sanctions Bill

The White House is pushing House Republicans to ease a bill sanctioning Russia that was passed in the Senate last week.

A bipartisan group of Senators passed the bill 98 to 2 on Thursday. The bill codifies and expands financial sanctions against Russian businesses and individuals in response to Russia’s interference in the 2016 election and annexation of the Ukrainian region of Crimea in 2014.

Yes, it is natural that Russia would desire lifting of Sanctions. And why wouldn't they? Many of them are petty and reactionary and probably based on false information fed to us by the media.

The reporter in the video seems to suggest that Russia is prepared to co-operate on many levels, including Trump's initial request to Putin - help with the fight against terrorism.

russians praise putin...well, they have to or they will be imprisoned or killed (something trump secretly hopes he can do to MSM)...putin WON BIG TIME and thinks he is a F'in genius, getting Americans to fight each other rather than real enemies.

Russia is crumbling because Putin COLLABORATED with criminal oligarchs when he could not oust them.

Of COURSE the sanctions hurt!!!

Russia has single payer universal healthcare with a puny 13% flat tax. Russians laugh at Americans paying so much for so little.

That is the most uneducated post I have read today.

Russia is not crumbling,

Russia’s economy returned to growth at the end of 2016, turning the page on seven consecutive quarters of contraction that laid waste to the middle class after oil prices crashed. Gross domestic product gained 0.3 percent from a year earlier in the fourth quarter after a decline of 0.4 percent in the previous three months, the Federal Statistics Service said Friday. That matched the median of 11 estimates in a Bloomberg survey. GDP shrank 0.2 percent in the full year, the statistics service said, confirming its first reading.

www.bloomberg.com...

Everyone thought (hoped) Russia would collapse and Putin would go away with all the nasty sanctions the USA put in place on top of the oil price crash. But Putin and Russia is more resilient than that.

My Uncle is a business man and he has dealt with Russia on many occasions. Yes their system runs on corruption. They all know that. But can you really blame one man for the effects of post communism collapse? Things like the black market during communism is what gave birth to the oligarchs in the first place. When the entire system is overrun how effective can one man be? Look at the fun Trump is having bringing change to the USA system, which in complete honesty is just as bad.

The media spectacle is all for show in my opinion. Trump and the media are working together to bring about a civil war, a psychological one so far but maybe a physical one some time in the future.

That is Trump's purpose in my opinion, to play his part in the show and help start and add fuel to the civil war. People are eating the show up thinking it's all real, just like every time before. We never learn.

The only true madness is the biased media and their fake news.

I would assume Putin and the Russians are ignoring them.

Russia is a distraction and front from who Trump is really colluding with. It's blatantly obvious that Trump and the media are colluding to destabilize America with their "war" in my opinion.

He should say, psst, lets make a new bank and cut out all international lenders.

Then lets back our currency between ourselves with actual commodities we own /control and establish a new ruble dollar for trade and commerce within our respective borders at an even rate of exchange between us.

A mutual economic tie. Like an EU type of agreement with no other member states. A financial union of two former superpowers.

Then once enough time establishes it all, make the Ruble Dollar the new standard for international trade and debt settlement with Russia and the US. Make countries invest in the coin to accommodate the trade we would then control globally.

I am not kidding,

That would be a new approach that is not well planned for.
