What we're seeing in this entire discussion has little to do with the genitalia, and more to do with the psychology of the individuals presenting extreme conflict in having or not having their desired bits and pieces by which to express themselves sexually.

There is either the desire to penetrate or the desire to be penetrated.
Giving or receiving in the physical role.

It's a psychological preference as to which role one wishes to assume.

A variation on human psycho-social development in that the id feels one way and the ego goes to any lengths to justify and provide for the id's overwhelming desire to be fully actualized.

So long story short, you have a bunch of folks who are so put off and uncomfortable by having the wrong "role" that they will spend outrageous amounts of money to have their bits regrouped and reconfigured in order to achieve their personal customization in that regard.

For some, hormones and surgery is all that is required to get on with a happy life.

For others, the feeling of not "fitting in" is so overwhelming and off putting that even gender reassignment isn't enough to heal their wounded psyches and they end up being casualties to the realities of the material world. That's one reason there are so many suicides in the world of Transgenders. Many are simply unable to deal with ANY role in this world.

How many of us who are perfectly fine with our assigned birth sex have contemplated or committed suicide?

Nature can be merciless.

That why there is such a big movement to rise above base animal instincts of attacking the non-inclusive and trying to be more humanitarian to individuals dealing with such existential schisms.

In Iran you can get a sex change operation but it's illegal to be gay actively.

So even in Iran transgendered people have it better than homosexuals, that's a cause you should take up if you care about the l,b,g,q and not JUST t communities.

And hermaphrodites can't get pregnant. That's a scientific fact as far as I know.

Androgyne is a sexless being, not bi-gendered.

Androgynous means something like indistinguishable between male or female because an androgyne is neither.

Hermes+Aphrodite= Hermaphrodite, male and female.

I don't really care what your sexual preference is, or what you identify as.
when it comes down to medical care, there are some differences between the needs of a women and that of a man.
how does one write in a medical file that a women who is identifying as a male needs an hysterectomy??? wouldn't such a thing kind of cause a tad bit of confusion and it wouldn't surprise me if it caused someone to be needlessly cut open in an attempt to remove a uterus that isn't there? we'd be better just not indentifying than providing misinformation wouldn't we?
what gets me is that we probably would have never made it to this point if society had just accepted people for what they are instead of telling them that they are wrong and trying to change them...

All I'm trying to say is that biology is not as black and white as some would like it to be, and that for millions of people out there gender is more complicated, as their external anatomy don't match their internal one, for example.

I don't see what the problem is and why it is so difficult to accept that some do not conform with archaic traditions based on poor science (and lots of ignorance).

And yet those abnormalities involve millions of people (at least 10% of humankind), making them more common that some what to think.

We are not just 46XX or 46XY, this is a simplified statement which we learn in (very) basic biology. Once you learn a bit more then you know humans are much more complex than that.
