If a single payer system is so terrible, why does every other First World Nation have one? Why are none of those countries contemplating switching to
the US model of healthcare? Why do every single one of those countries consistently beat the US, and in many cases handily, in healthcare rankings?
actually, I would rather take a pay cut and work for the government...but Im just saying they will not be able to make as much money bc they cannot
over-charge anymore.
Not to mention the your school loans would probably be forgiven and your malpractice insurance would at the very least be subsidized. Which in turn
makes med school more appealing since you won't be drowning in debt for the first 10 years or so after you graduate. Not to mention it will open up
the option of med school to a lot more people who can't afford it currently.
What I don't get is the logic. If it passes and so many people loose coverage, whether it be higher rates, loss of Medicare expansion, pre existing
conditions, etc, don't they realize how demonized they ( the Republican party) will look? Crap, as an independent voter, I'll damn sure will vote
Democrat next election just to try to get it repealed.
What do they care? Even if they get voted out they're set for life. Odds are Trump alone is going to cost them some seats so they might as well makes
things as cushy for themselves as possible.
