WWII Survivor Warns of Socialism and Gun Control

Just came across this gem on YouTube and thought it was worth sharing because she does an excellent job of describing how nationalism and socialism often go hand in hand, despite recent rhetoric from the left that fascist nationalism is strictly a right wing thing. With respect to the Hitler regime she explains in detail how socialist policies are used to lure in voters and then strip everything they have and how heavily nationalistic programs are enforced to indoctrinate people into behaving how the government wants.

The media still claims that Hitler rolled into Austria with tanks and guns and took us over. Not true at all. The fact is that the Austrian people elected Hitler by 98% of the vote by means of the ballot box. Now how could that happen in a christian nation, almost 100% catholic, that they would elect a monster like Hitler. Hitler did not look like a monster, he did not act like a monster, he talked like an American politician.

Exactly!

History can teach but only if you read about it.

Yet ... so many mistakes, over and over. One would think that the whole world was illiterate.

All of the isms can be lethal when taken to extremes ... and extremes is where they end up going.

Everything in moderation, especially the isms.

Yes that's one of the reasons I felt it was worth posting, actually I'm amazed she still looks so young, although the lecture is from a few years ago. I hope she's still doing well, I'm sure she'd be glad to see the recent turn of events in politics, lmao.

I remember back in school i hated history, i asked why learn. My teachers always said "because history always repeats itself, thats why its important to hold on to it" i didnt get it then but i do now. I love history.
Now it just seems to being stripped from the youth.

Just some old right-wing nut-job conspiracy theorist. Government cares about us. The News Media cares about us. They only want to get rid of guns for our own safety, it has nothing to do with power and control.

Says the guy who trusts a government that lies to the people, steals from the people, unjustly incarcerates the people. The media doesnt care about the people, they care about there own agenda or someone more powerful. Getting rid of guns would not be safe, history shows this on multiple accounts. I live in a city where damn near everyone carries a gun including myself and there is not much crime. The bad guys will always get guns, thats a fact, you anti gun nuts just dont get it. Go put i big sign up in your yard saying your against guns and your home is a gun free zone, please.

Forgetting or willingly doing away with our history, is like getting up every day, forgetting everything you did the day before and doomed to repeating your mistakes over and over.
By the way, who is that keeps tearing down statues, renaming roads, has "no whites on campus" day, and just generally erasing history? Hmmmm. Starts with a L....oh well, it'll come to me.

Let go of your paranoia and delusions no ones coming for your guns and bibles in America. It will never happen. There will always be people anti gun except it and get over it. Guns are ingrained in American culture and going no where any time soon. I'm in Detroit you'd have a better chance of exterminating every cockroach in the city before you could remove every gun.

People have not changed in over 2000 years.

I like to repeat a quote from a mentor of mine I had growing up. He said,

The day we as a species can no longer understand the plays of William Shakespeare, is the day we have evolved beyond what we are today.

I stopped taking this thread seriously when I realised that Hitler's regime was being described as 'socialist' and therefore left-wing.

This is so far removed from reality that it more or less invalidates any other point being made.
