The Shed 16

Looks like I got out of bed just as everyone was leaving the shed today. My sleep pattern is changing to a four hour sleep and about four hours awake late a night now. I'm looking for my wake up energy so I can do some laundry today.

Had a lunch appointment then had meetings and such at work.

I've posted a new scene of Falling. I have to say, sometimes when I write a scene, I can tell you all about it. This one, though, came from the gut. On her album, Feels Like Home, Norah Jones performs a song called "Humble Me." One of the lines is "The truth spoke in whispers will tear you apart." When I think of this scene, that is what comes to mind. There is a lot of myself in this scene, and that's about all I can say on that.

Hello Blue and Shep!

Blue, hope you were able to get your laundry done. I cleaned out my fish tanks a little while ago. I don't have enough laundry yet to bother with. I am over due on coloring my hair, but like you, my sleeping pattern is all over the place, I'm tired and have no energy.

Shep, I always feel bad for not catching up with your story. I spend some time here at the shed and checking out new threads or replying to subscribed threads, time at facebook and youtube and also message with a couple of people on Skype at different hours of the day and night or on the phone with them. You'll have to give a summery again so us lazy and busy people can know what's going on.

I keep forgetting to throw donuts in the bushes for the lurkers there. I'm sure the pixies have though when I am forgetful. May all the Sheddites and lurkers hold the magic in their hearts and always believe. I'll be out by the sea hanging with the mermaids if anyone needs me.

Hi Night Star! I've written up summaries for you. I'll post them in a sec - there are some spoilers in here so I want to see if there's a BBCode that can be used to hide them.

OK, well, I couldn't find a way to put a spoiler tag on it. Oh well. Here are the summaries:
95 - Isaraleisen
96 - The Amaerke's Gambit
Gaalen's mother, the Amaerke Isara Braeghe, has an audience with Queen Tirina and the Princess Anna Kire. She proposes an alliance of House Braeghe with the Royal House Daecullon, cemented by the marriage of Gaalen to the Princess. As part of the bargain, she requests that Gaalen be made the Amaerke of a vacant Maarke when he and the Princess have married.

97 - A Humbled Visitor
98 - A Battle He Couldn't Win
Gaalen is alone in his apartment, worrying over Kaena's distant attitude. Seeress Meron brings the Bearer Casera to Gaalen's apartments to release him from her Command and apologize. Gaalen blows up and Siere leaves angrily, slamming the door.

99 - Apology
100 - Disclosure
Sometime after the Seeress leaves, Elder Poliara shows up at Gaalen's apartment, and he grumbles that she never tells him anything and their 'bargain' is one-sided. Then Poliara also apologizes for Casera's behavior, and hints she knew it was occurring. He gets very angry with her as well, tells her he's through helping her, and demands she leave. She gives in and provides him with information on her search for the treasonous group, including that Lady Eilana Itaericae was her agent trying to infiltrate the traitors. She was killed the night of the Water Drummer performance, before she could share what she had found with Poliara. Someone has figured out how to control the creatures that attacked that night. Another tidbit is that there has been correspondence with someone in the Eastholds, perhaps even Mons Ros, which means the conspiracy may be the prelude to an invasion of Aavelae.

101 - A Cold Dread
Gaalen ponders the information he received from Poliara. He considers that Shadow Night - a period of several days of complete darkness when the Greatmoon wanes to completely new and the sun does not rise - would be the perfect time to begin an invasion, especially if one had control of creatures that could see in the dark.

102 - A Small Favor
103 - To Call a Bluff
Kaena is getting drunk. She recalls a memory from when she had just been promoted onto the Council of Ladies Captain and she was serving as the personnel officer; it is when Gaalen is recovering from his capture by rochfendre - he is fighting infection and may die. She is approached by a shadowy group - led by Seer Lowaeren - to approve of a personnel transfer. However, she's not told which, only that it would be for a "qualified candidate." Lowaeren makes it clear, however, that Gaalen's life is in the balance if she refuses. Even if Gaalen survives, he will be tried for dereliction of duty because of the rochfendre raid, for which Gaalen would be executed if convicted. Lowaeren says he can save Gaalen's life - both the infection and the conviction, or he can ensure Gaalen dies. Kaena tried to figure out which transfer but couldn't. Then for years she heard nothing more. Until now, when she received a note to schedule a specific unit for guard duty on Shadow's Eve. Gaalen is threatened again: "On Shadow's Eve. Or he dies."

104 - Broken
Seeress Meron is alone in her room. She can't take it anymore. She is going insane, and can't control her own mind. She is tortured by memories and is losing her grip. She has now hurt Lord Braeghe, and that upsets her terribly. She tries to slit her wrist with her belt knife to end it, but a memory pushes in - Gaalen, singing to her as she slept after healing the girl in the Temple. She admits to herself she's in love with him, but knows she can never have him. She curls up on her bed and prays that God would kill her, because she can't do it herself.

105 - A New Chapter
Seeress Meron doesn't show up for training, so Gaalen goes alone, assuming she has not forgiven him for his temper tantrum. He decides to apologize. He ponders events while he performs his training routine alone.

106 - Summoned
Gaalen is summoned to meet with his mother, who informs him the Princess has accepted her proposal and he will be wed to the Princess, who will one day be Queen. This would make Gaalen the Prince Consort, the most powerful man in the realm. He and his mother argue over Kaena and her favoritism of his deceased older brother Gesaert, and she slaps him. He turns his back and walks out.

107 - Target
After, Isara and the captain of her men-at-arms, Kivioen, discuss his reaction and come to the conclusion the reason he's reluctant is because he's gotten Kaena pregnant. Isara orders Kivioen to assassinate Kaena, and make it look "authentic."

108 - Simply
Kaena is looking for a brush in Gaalen's apartments. Gaalen tries to tell her about the Princess and his impending marriage, but Kaena doesn't want to talk. He pushes, they argue and Kaena admits she thinks Gaalen is falling in love with the Seeress. He says he is willing to give up everything for Kaena, and she seems willing to at least talk.

For the life of me, I can never find the right color to color my bald spot. lol

As for day one of Lexapro, I think I have one side effect already. I took off all the bed sheets and blankets to wash but had to sit down and rest before I could make into the kitchen. I stayed in the kitchen, eating dinner, for about one hour as I was feeling very worn out. Hopefully, this cute little side effect won't last too many days. Then again it could just be my new sleeping habits that were bothering me.

I seriously thought about going to the hospital.

So true, it could have many reasons. I am learning to take it easier than I expected I would at this time and go from there.
Guess it's time to go out tomorrow and look for an orange wig to wear. lol

Well today's theme is boring, "household maintenance" . A bit dusty here, i need to wipe all surfaces and then use the vacuum cleaner. Washing all of my clothes also. Blaah. but it has to be done for future convenience.

Now doing some cooking... need to go check that everything is not boiling over, then i will only have more to clean up
