So this [SNIP] who butchered a Su-24 pilot who ejected after a Turkish F-16 shot down a Russian Su-24 in 2015 is the son of a Turkish mayor and he only gets 5 years in jail. If this happened to an American pilot, Americans would almost certainly demand life sentence. Russians are pretty soft and easy going on the world stage. They are big allies with Turkey now and have forgiven everything.

that's a very light sentence for the crime he committed. unless he accidentally did it. I've seen murderers get comparable sentences with great lawyers. nothing like a butchering though. what do you mean by fag is that a acronym. in any case sickening that politics are above justice.

This is a very confusing video. Is there anything which details the investigation more extensively than to simply claim something is false with a slick edit?

It was a first degree murder, not accidental. The pilot ejected and he murdered the pilot after the pilot landed on the ground. Su-24 has two pilots. The other pilot was rescued by SAA.

Sounds complicated. Syria can be rather hostile. So, anyone fighting Assad is going to be supported by Turkey. And then you have Russian jets bombing Syrian Turkmen villages. Bad idea. If Russia wants to support Assad against ISIS, not a problem. The hostility in shooting at parachuting pilots, that although illegal, is understandable.

On 22 June 2012, a Turkish F-4 Phantom reconnaissance jet was intercepted and shot down by the Syrian Army (a Turkish training flight in international airspace).

But Assad isn't going to do 5 years in jail for murdering Turkish pilots in international airspace on a military training flight.

It was in Syrian airspace. The RF-4 flew in by mistake.

Actually this is really sickening, if proven to be guilty the guy whom murdered the pilot should have been properly sentenced.

The fact the pilot was Russian has nothing to do with it, he was simply a serviceman, some mothers son doing his duty in the armed forces of a nation and following his orders and he could have been any pilot from any nation.

For what? Being a real soldier, a Turkmen, who fights real battles on the ground. The Russians need to mind their own business and limit their attacks to ISIS targets. No wonder the Turkmen they shot them in their parachutes after having their villages attacked many times by Russian warplanes.

SAA is Russia's proxy army. Russia has every right to provide air support to SAA who is at war with these groups.
