Appointing Lieberman isn't a drain the swamp thing... Seriously? How is it draining the swamp to tap a career politician who endorsed Hillary Clinton as Director of the FBI?
Trump is trying to placate the Democrats while at the same time the GOP is quietly running away from him. Selecting Lieberman for this job is a giant mistake. We need someone with law enforcement/prosecutor experience to head up the FBI, not a god damn 75 year old retired politician.
I would rather see a rank and file agent get the job before a politician, especially Joe Lieberman. He's a dual citizen with Israel, and older than dirt. His FBI career would potentially last until he turned 85 years old. It's totally ridiculous.
Senator Joseph I. Lieberman applies the investigative skills he honed as United States Senator and Attorney General of the State of Connecticut to represent clients in independent and internal investigations and advise them on a wide range of public policy, strategic and regulatory issues. As a seasoned leader who is skilled in the art of facilitating mutually beneficial and strategic agreements, Senator Lieberman also assists corporate clients on tax, health care, security and intellectual property matters. In addition, he counsels clients on international expansion initiatives and business plans.
Prior to joining Kasowitz, Senator Lieberman, the Democratic Vice-Presidential nominee in 2000, served 24 years in the United States Senate, retiring in January 2013 following the end of his fourth term. During his tenure, Senator Lieberman helped shape legislation in virtually every major area of public policy including national and homeland security, foreign policy, fiscal policy, environmental protection, human rights, health care, trade, energy, cyber security and taxes. He served in many leadership roles including as chairman of the Committee on Homeland Security and Government Affairs, which is the Senate's major oversight and investigative committee. On that Committee, Senator Lieberman led numerous congressional investigations, including investigations into Enron’s collapse, the federal government’s response to Hurricane Katrina, the Fort Hood mass shooting, and most recently the deadly attack in Benghazi, Libya.

Kasowitz has represented Trump for at least 15 years, including during the restructuring of more than $1 billion in debt for Trump’s Atlantic City casinos. The firm also represented Trump when media giants, including the Times, sought to unseal documents from Trump’s 1990 divorce with Ivana Trump. A Manhattan Supreme Court judge rejected that request last month.

Drain the swamp? Shows you know very little about this political system. This guy is an insurance industry lackey.
He alone stopped the implementation of a good health insurance bill under Obama and because of him we got flimsy Obamacare.
Do some research next time!

Trump is just trying to calm the FBI rank and file that hate his guts. Comey was their man and they will ignore Lieberman. Comey will be testifying soon....Now Trumps gone...beautiful irony. The way Trump fired Comey will come back to haunt him...believe me.
Trump didn't drain any swamp, but he sure as hell pissed off the snakes and gators.

This is a Republican administration. NO liberal democrats should be anywhere near it. They can wait until 2032 for their next chance.
