I'm a bit confused. Like did I blink and miss something. One second there guns blazing, next second carl is on his knees and Rick is being led at gun point.

Why didn't Rick pull the famous neck biting act like he did to those bandits that tried to kill them a few seasons back.

And why didn't they go with dwights plan? The whole him radio back and say everything is okay so they could kill Negan.

Dwight betrayed them..if I learned any thing from the comics you linked..these aren't the same characters.. and this isn't the same story..

Hell, rick should be missing a hand..

All in all a great episode. I walk away from it hopeful for next season.

Or.. Dwight didn't have time because neegan had already been given the heads up by jadis..

I'm going to have to go back to last episodes thread..someone called this.
I justcant remember who, they deserve credit..

Kosmicjack said that Jadis was the one responsible for giving Negan the heads up, and she was right.
At the end, that chess piece that Dwight crafted, said "Didn't know "
So I guess he had no idea about the garbage gangs deal.

I really liked Maggie's speech at the end.
It seemed to wrap up the entire season and series.
Like how she said " it started with Glenn when he helped you and you were trapped"
And how she was holding the pocket watch at the very end.
Gonna watch this over about 20 times between now and next October lol.

This episode dragged out forever.

Idiotic flash backs for a minor character for effs sake.

Stupid stream cut off too soon so I didn't get to watch the end.

ETA:

What happened after the junk skank shot Rick and kicked him off the tower?

Carl lived

To me that's all that matters..

If you want other spoilers iI'll give them..but I suggest you watch the replay or on demand...

Entertainment should elicit strong emotion.

That speach. Resonated with me. I thought it was an awesome finale..no cliffhangers
And a positive tone.. exactly what was needed, for the fans, and the characters after last seasons strenuous ending and this seasons heart breaking premiere..

I'm a bit shocked, and happy, that there were no huge cliffhangers. Throws me off..

I feel like we are finally getting to the meat of the story, and I'm curious to see how it plays out. I didn't really like the scavengers, but such betrayal is beyond the (garbage) pale. Couldn't help it.

Ill have to agree with Neo though, those flashbacks with Sasha and Abraham seemed to be blatant filler. I "get it" in context of what happened, but I started tuning out.

I'm interested to see how Dwight fits in as the story goes on.

So they finally uploaded a finished stream.

Best two parts of the season finale.

Just as Karl was about to get his head bashed in enter Tony the Tiger.

And.

Neegan running like the snip he is.

I still think Eugene is a spineless wuss but, is he growing a backbone?
The move he made with Sasha was awfully risky, remember he refused to help one of Negan's 'wives' in the same way?
Perhaps he is an infiltrator still loyal to Rick's gang? Or he is just playing both sides of the fence?
I think Negan's on to him, either way. The whole journey to the other side with Sasha and Abraham certainly didn't have to run as long as it did, IMO.
And...does anyone know what that box of stuff was that they left behind in exchange for the Doctor? It looked like ammunition but, that can be right.
Good finale!

To add: One part that made me LOL but, was completely unnecessary was when the junky leader lady asked Michonne if she could sleep with Rick when Michonne was done with him. Um, ewwww for Rick and here we are going to battle with the most sadistic and clever bad guy yet and...hormones? I guess I didn't realize the zombie apocalypse would trigger such romantic notions, I thought food, shelter, weapons, meds and stuff like that would be the priorities. :/

Eugene did sound rather convincing to Sasha about his allegiance to Negan. Im thinking he may have turn-coated.
In the comics he escapes with Dwight when given the chance.

I think there was too much flashback stuff with Sasha as well. It was good seeing Abe again, but 50% of those flashbacks could have been time spent else were in the show.

Am I correct in thinking that whole group of only women (can't think of their official name) were not part of this skirmish? So, if they didn't then they are still a variable for next season and they have a fairly big axe to grind with Negan IIRC.
Rick's gonna need everyone he can get to kill Negan and the junkyard folks.
Do you recall when Eugene was showing off his skillz to Negan's wives and mentioned how easily he could make a bomb?
Predictions:
Michonne kills the junky lady
Eugene blows up the sanctuary
Rosita succumbs to her injuries and has to be killed by one of the group before she turns (possibly wishful thinking there LOL). That hasn't happened in awhile.
Sherry (?) winds up at Alexandria

Exactly, no fricken cliffhanger!
I wonder if that was planned after the outrage of Season 6?

Either way, we have a long wait until October

One sure fire way not to get any was shooting Rick.

Which brings us to the worse part of the finale.

Rick just standing there while the rest went full Rambo on Neegan and crew.

Anyone else see that Jesus and Maggie will end up together ?

I agree about Rick, that was odd.
Although, some guys would dig a little crazy (maybe not THAT much LOL).
Listen, I've watched enough Hollywood to know that he, easily, could've knocked that pistol out of the hand of that skinny 98 pound woman.
Also, regarding Jesus...found out last week or so he's gay. He states that he's had trouble in the past opening up to his 'booyfriends' or something along those lines...
^I just realized that you may NOT have been implying 'together' romantically.
See what all of this lovey dovey shenanigans does? It puts it on the brain!

Yeah i remember that part, but the only other two gay guys are in Alexandria.

It's the zombie apocalypse where options are none existent.

Rick and Michonne hooked up out of the blue, and there have been a plethora of plot holes since the series began.,

Eugene is even more of a question mark now that he sees that Rick and Alexandria were willing to blow him up. And I found it odd that they didn't show ZombieSasha actually getting brained. I mean they #ing showed Abe and Glenn getting their heads bashed in.
I get she is dead, just kind of odd in season that's been pretty shameless. And I don't think that Tara has a high level of buy-in right now. Also, very worried about Judith and Enid back at Hilltop now that Negan saw Maggie.

Told ya about the Garbage Pail peeps. No one named "Jadis" can be a good guy.
