The "ignore feature" is your scroll wheel.

Easy.

Why pay for something when you can't even speak freely?

I've seen great replies with great points in many threads only to see them disappear because it offended someone.

I would pay for a better means of reading replies and a classic forum style list of 3 pages where you can view all of your unread replies to your posts, another for replies on your OP and finally one for subscribed threads you want to keep tabs on but don't have anything to contribute. Unless this already exists somewhere and I have just been an idiot all these years...

The money from a paid subscription should help cover the bandwidth to store all of this for premium members I would think

Edit to add: people freaking out about paying for ATS - it obviously wouldn't be mandatory, that would kill ATS in a heartbeat. It would be a premium service, if such a thing were to exist

It takes a lot of effort to remember who you'd like to have on ignore.

On my mobile phone, your method doesn't work at all. I have things set so I'm basically only looking at text. I have no idea whose post I'm reading almost all the time.

Hell of a dilemma.

Great for getting full context.

I would HAPPILY pay for the ability to go to last read post. Like the moon landing thread, if I am away for a few days I have to go to last page and work backwards. My football forum has this feature, even on mobile site and it is a massive timesaver

There's nothing great about it. The lack of an ignore feature is pretty much the entire reason I skip a lot of threads on this forum.

Your concept of "context" ruins the entire experience for me.

For instance, I skip almost all of your threads because too many of them are spammed into oblivion. I even have to do with my own threads a lot.

I'd pay for chat rooms. Going to a chat room would keep us from using an entire page to do a back-n-forth with another member.

If i had a job id also pay fro a chat to return ALONG WITH a radio show, but thats lost like the lost lenore who the raven cried Nefermore.
