Through the Obama group "Organizing for Action", the left with Obama in command are trying to defend Obama's policies, by controlling what Trump's administration will try to do.

by Alex Seitz-Wald

After a long period of withdrawal from the public eye, Organizing for Action, the political group that grew out of Barack Obama's first presidential campaign, is ramping back up for the Trump era with a focus on defending the Affordable Care Act and training grassroots organizers, officials tell NBC News.

Had Hillary Clinton won the presidency, OFA was likely headed for a wind-down. But with Trump in the White House, the relaunched OFA will claim a spot in the increasingly crowded marketplace of groups looking to fight the new president's agenda.

This is essentially an attempt by the left, and with Obama in command to extend Obama's administration, when a new President has been elected.

No U.S. President has ever done what Obama, and officials of the DNC are doing now.

Obama, Holder to lead post-Trump redistricting campaign
...
As Democrats aim to capitalize on this year’s Republican turmoil and start building back their own decimated bench, former Attorney General Eric Holder will chair a new umbrella group focused on redistricting reform — with the aim of taking on the gerrymandering that’s left the party behind in statehouses and made winning a House majority far more difficult.

The new group, called the National Democratic Redistricting Committee, was developed in close consultation with the White House. President Barack Obama himself has now identified the group — which will coordinate campaign strategy, direct fundraising, organize ballot initiatives and put together legal challenges to state redistricting maps — as the main focus of his political activity once he leaves office.

Since when can a former U.S. President and his party try to control an elected administration? This is unConstitutional, and dangerous. This is similar to what dictators like Venezuelan President Maduro has done.

YES. Now here is something that is NOT fake news, it's painfully obvious and borders on illegal. Obama simply cannot let go, and I doubt he planned on it....although I'm certain Hillary, Soros and Company had a plan B.

This is a bigger threat to our democratic republic than any pretend threat from Russia. If this Great House of ours falls, it will be because the timbers within were rotten to the core and allowed to remain.

Excellent post, S&F.

How Obama is scheming to sabotage Trump’s presidency

By Paul Sperry

When former President Barack Obama said he was “heartened” by anti-Trump protests, he was sending a message of approval to his troops. Troops? Yes, Obama has an army of agitators — numbering more than 30,000 — who will fight his Republican successor at every turn of his historic presidency. And Obama will command them from a bunker less than two miles from the White House.

In whats shaping up to be a highly unusual post-presidency, Obama isnt just staying behind in Washington. Hes working behind the scenes to set up what will effectively be a shadow government to not only protect his threatened legacy, but to sabotage the incoming administration and its popularAmerica Firstagenda.
...

nypost.com...

The DNC, and ex-President Obama are doing what left-wing dictators do when they lose an election. The inability of the DNC, and Obama to admit that they lost, and instead of letting the elected, and new administration take the reigns, the left is trying to control behind the scenes what President Trump can do.

It's not scapegoating by any means. But based on your avatar and personal quote, why don't you tell us why you think the OP is scapegoating Obama?

Good. Gerrymandering has become completely ridiculous in this country. It completely disenfranchises voters. Just yesterday the Supreme Court ruled on a gerrymandering case from Virginia. They decided that a proper investigation needed to be done to determine whether certain districts around Richmond and Hampton Roads were drawn to disenfranchise black voters.

I don't care if such an initiative is undertaken by Obama, Trump, Clinton, or whoever. Gerrymandering is the real election fraud and it needs to stop.

I don't see an issue as long as Obama remains within the Constitution.

He can do anything he likes as long as it's legal.

He'll be an annoying little asshole, but he is free to be that.

What is "wrong here" is that Obama seems to intend to use his so-called popular appeal, along with his political power-base, a leaderless DNC, lackies in the intelligence community, and (no doubt) the reach of a complicit MSM - to retain (in some ways) his influence and grip on the reigns of power.

This is precisely why there are Term Limits on the Presidency. If he carries this activity too far, Congress may have to consider taking steps to extend the rules related to Term Limits in the office itself, to a ban for "x" number of years, for former Presidents, in actively participating in political activities...including lobbying, organizing, subverting and "resisting" any successor Administration.

I don't mean to draw a direct parallel of course, but I find it a little ironic that part of Obama's strategy relies on trying to disrupt Trump's administration by beating the drums about supposed Russian interference and (even more supposed) Trump Campaign collusion with the Russians.

Putin, of course, faced his own Term Limit problem a few years ago - and he solved it by helping Dmitry Medvedev take over as President for a while (while Putin continued to run the show from behind the facade), until he had a consitutional basis for his return to the top job in Russia.

We all know (many of us anyway) that Obama is more concerned about cementing his "legacy", than he is about the well-being of America. In view of all this (assuming the accuracy of the reports), I have to wonder what Barak's actual long game is...

The plan is to undermine, obstruct, and make the President's job as difficult as possible by hook or by crook, so they can then turn to everyone and say 'look, didn't we tell you how useless and incompetent Trump would be? And look how right we were'.

Dems are certainly showing their true colours, now we can see what's really underneath the façade: plots and treachery abound. It's actually quite shocking that a political party is allowed to undermine a democratically elected President and nothing be done stop it.

Sabotaging and obstructing an elected President's efforts - it's something you'd expect an enemy of your country to do. It's lucky Hillary lost the election, who needs an enemy-within for a President?

More dangerous is the concept of an outgoing President leading activities designed to obstruct/destroy the incoming President.

What happened to all of those lofty platitudes about the "peaceful transition of power", that is one of the vanguards of American democracy? Oh...that's right...that was while they were still believing the polls that said Trump had no path to victory.

Using an Obama organization to stop changes done by President Trump does not fall within the confines of the U.S. Constitution. Obama and the DNC are trying to control any policies of President Trump which would change anything Obama did. Not to mention that this is the same organization which set up "riots" as we saw several DNC officials admit when they were being filmed in secret.
