First off, the UN was hijacked in its infancy by the powers that be. The so called super powers been picking on the little guy ever since.

So North Korea invading South Korea was just?

I hardly believe that even you can say, in relation to this thread and not some generality, that a USSR and China backed N. Korea was a little guy getting "picked on".

The UN was supposed to give each nation one vote to prevent what happened in WWII from ever happening again, i.e., one nation (Nazi Germany) gobbling up lesser nations in a bid for world dominance.

That is one vote on procedural matters.
The UN Security council has 15 members.
The UN Security Council is not a pure democracy of 193 nations and 2 proxy nations...that is ridiculous to even make your above statement.

Veto powers are in the hands of 5: China, France, Russia, United Kingdom, and United States.

Wanna run that Universal excuse by me again?

China backed resolution 84 to defend South Korea, USSR was absent...both countries backed the North, run that through your conspiracy hat

Good. Now when we invade North Korea, it will be for keepsies (and if we make it look like we actually want to do it then China will just nuke it for us).

everybody knows that the US picked up the pieces of the world at the start of WWII, and helped get it back into a coherent form.

Crap. The crash of Wall Street brought about the rise of Hitler. Then used hitler as an excuse to enter the continent of Europe, then used Stalin as an excuse to stay. Here we are now, we never left, continue to occupy countries with airbases and nukes even... lol. NATO now threatens the stability of Europe and Asia like no army before it.

Re written history, take the log out of your own eye before you pick the splinters from others.

Thanks for that part, you're right, Korea isn't completely isolated, yet. Thanks to China and Russia, neither was Vietnam, or Laos , Cambodia...

Can't win them all, eh Snarl?

So North Korea invading South Korea was just?

There was just Korea originally. They were repatriating that portion of their country just like in Vietnam. You call them commies all day if you like, I know better who did who first.

The occupation of the southern Korean peninsula is really about the US having a toe hold on the under belly of the Asian continent, nothing more.

Kim was a puppet Stalin and Mao...where do you get your redirects?

Vietnam very similar. A continuation of the French Indo China War aside, MAO and Stalin wanted the unified peninsulas void of Western Influences as much as it was a proxy region against communism.

Sanctions are a punishment not unlike to a child misbehaving, now if said misbehaving child had a gun waving it around, can he/she still be 'punished'..yes. Now, is this same child threatens to use the gun, this situation will end in violence or disarming.

To say that the US can treat North Korea as a petulant child is Hogwash. The North has been solely focused on military since the 50s. To them the war never ended. The US could not just walk in and wipe them off the face of the earth. Hell with all the CIA and Israeli, as well as Saudi influence the US cannot even kill off a group of ragtag militants known as ISIS hiding in plain sight in a city in the desert.
Now add Russian and Chinese influence to the equation and it is a quagmire both politically and militarily.

Oh and they have nukes.

Yah okay, deflect to ancient history.

US occupies Korea militarily. Considering recent US record of invasions, they're a little nervous, ya think?

Imagine living next to the richest, best dressed people in town who rob, rape, steal and murder your neighbors on a regular basis and you see them in your front yard staring at your house... in fact they move into half your house and stay there for decades...

no problem right?

History is plainly there for all to study it.

Thing is, truth is not taught anymore and even if it was its a rewritten version, younger generations aren't paying attention, anyway. Thanks for helping misleading everyone down the lies.

What the hell are you talking bout, Willis?

The US doesn't occupy S.K. anymore than Germany.

Do you see any difference between North and South Korea?

China sends people back that seek asylum, from NK.

SK will take them in if they get in.

Given the choice, nine out of ten children would prefer crayons to guns. Pearl Jam choices t shirt circa early 1990s. Would love to know where I could buy that the shirt again. Mine got nicked from the washing line. Remember those contraptions?

I said the same thing. You're the one dragged out the Ottoman empire... really? Where the hell that come form>? Oh you were deflecting away from answering.

...and convulses off chair laughing. We occupy both.

Big cognitive dissonance you got going there. Better get a new prescription for those history glasses.

The US has occupied Germany since WWII.

This conversation is over.

Last I checked it not just the United States that has sanctioned North Korea
List of United Nations Security Council resolutions concerning North Korea
Sanctions North Korea
That would be: UN, EU, NL, UK, Swiss, Australia, Canada, China, Hong Kong, Japan, New Zealand, Singapore, US...there are more minor parties
UN Subsiderary Organs

SO...it is not the United States just 'kicking the small guy'...but blaming the US always works, right?

The North has been solely focused on military since the 50s. To them the war never ended.

The despot's place the 'fear of war and invasion' in the minds of the populace as a means to keep 'Dear Leader's" power.

Oh and they have nukes.

"They" being China and Russia...well, they are not behaving as North Korea now are they?

Not even a comparison.

Ignoring the context to deflect by diminishing the example is one thing but...

I was making a point about Boundaries/Borders.

Ancient history? Not really. Just over 100 years.

South Korea Asks
Again...Occupation vs. Military presence

North Korea has been testing underground Nuclear devices.
Nobody blamed the US.
Nobody is standing up for North Korea, just saying it ain't no cake walk. Otherwise an armistice would not still be in place from the Korean War.
Your indignant anger is misplaced... laughable really.
