A clip of President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump interacting on Inauguration Day has been making the rounds online, just a day after their 12th wedding anniversary.

It’s not the first clip that shows icy relations between the two. And while some have speculated that it’s doctored or reversed — well, it’s not. Should you want to see a wider shot, fast forward to two hours and 51 minutes into this video of the inauguration, or watch it below:

Many Trump supporters are claiming that the video above has been doctored. Some are saying that it was taken out of context. What do you think?

The first thing that comes to my mind regarding the clip is that alpha males are frequently full of flaws. I tried to explore that topic in the thread linked below.

Are alpha males superior?

Another important issue regarding this situation is the fact that no one seems to know who Trump really is. Consider the following.

Ben Carson: 'There are two different Donald Trumps'

I read through the comments to the article linked at the top of this post. It seems that the consensus is that no one should feel sorry for Melania because she's a "gold digger." Since that can't be proven, I have no opinion on it. I had a long marriage, and my ex-spouse and I had some vicious moments. If you just looked at the worst moments, the relationship would have seemed quite different than it really was.

Based on the totality of what I've seen, I would have thought Melania and Donald had a good relationship.

Things can change fast in any marriage.

the " reportage " of this clip says more about the psychology of the commentators than it does about the trumps

EDIT :

An alpha male would not go on 3am twitter rants. Don't even ascribe the title Alpha to Donald, a man who did not build his own wealth but inherited it. A man who has sent his pictures of his hands to a magazine editor every single year after being criticized about it. A man who openly bragged about the size of his penis on the debate stage.

A man who whines whenever their is criticism about him. That is what an alpha male does?

Are you trying to attempt to make it sound like only one person is reporting on this? There are lots of videos on this topic. Do a search for "Melania Trump sad" on YouTube, and you'll see them. The following look like some good ones. I think this is a marginal topic, but I believe it's important enough to merit discussion because we're talking about the new POTUS.

I go by the following definition of "alpha male":

A man tending to assume a dominant or domineering role in social or professional situations

I believe that definition is black and white. Either a man meets that definition or he doesn't. In my estimation there's no question that that definition applies to Donald Trump.

It is by far the worst definition to use because typically Alpha males are reserved, UNTIL, you challenge them. Then they dominate. As we can clearly observe, Donald is constantly on the offensive. Constructive criticism about him? Lash out on twitter. Small slight about his hands? Lash out on twitter.

Real Alpha males would turn that joke on themselves and be self-depreciating, why? Because they know they are the sh*t and a bag of chips so some stupid slight is a slight scratch on their armor. Though to a weak male, a slight like that can destroy their armor in seconds, so they need to respond quickly and forcefully.

Even in nature, the overly aggressive animals tend to be the weak males. The alpha is calm until threatened, then he puts forth certain body language (eye stare, puffed chest, a firm stance - or evn a slight charge to scare the animal into submission) to let you know who is in charge, and when that weak male backs down, the Alpha returns to his calm demeanor.

You guys THINK he is an alpha, until you see a real alpha.

No, idiots said it was reversed. Idiots are everywhere unfortunately, from both sides of the political coin.

I think what we have here is a grade A fake smile dropped as soon as the person it was intended for could no longer see it. All extremely exciting as I am sure you can tell, I personally have never faked a smile because only people under the gaze of tyrants do so.

100%. No jokes. I'm not lying one bit. Honest.

Hmm, putting it in reverse kind of makes sense. Anyone else think that hand clapping looks like its almost backwards? Like it has an odd motion to it... This video would make perfect sense if it was not reversed. But where can we see the un-edited version of this interaction?

I'm using that definition because I feel it describes human behavior well. I believe the tendency to assume a dominant or domineering role in social or professional situations is the characteristic that makes a man an alpha male. How anyone could look at Trump and not think he meets that definition at this point is beyond me. I'm not looking at the issue from the point of view of the animal kingdom because I don't believe that's a suitable way to look at humans. I agree that there are different types of alpha males.

Let's begin with a definition of "alpha male":

A man tending to assume a dominant or domineering role in social or professional situations

SOURCE

In my experience, a person can end up in a dominant or domineering role in social or professional situations in one of two ways.

1. They end up in such a position because of merit.

I believe if a person attains a dominant or domineering role in social or professional situations because of merit, that is a strong sign of superiority. A sports team captain is almost always one of the best players. The CEO of a company is almost always one of the best employees.

2. They end up in such a position because of popularity, nepotism, likability, or other similar factors.

This group is almost always seeking to be dominant or domineering. What kinds of people want to be dominant or domineering?

The types of people who want to be dominant or domineering are often narcissists, psychopaths, sociopaths, sadists, and those with all kinds of other antisocial traits. This group is mostly the weakest of the weak in my mind.

I'm coming from the point of view that all needs are weaknesses as I discussed in the following thread.

Are needs weaknesses?

Are alpha males superior?

My conclusion is that about 10% of alpha males are superior, but they're mostly only superior in their areas of specialty. I also believe the rest of the alpha males tend to be inferior compared with humanity in general.

Are alpha males superior?

I believe the following scene illustrates what was discussed in the thread linked above. John Rambo is a genuine omega male, Colonel Samuel Trautman is a top-flight alpha male who achieved his status for the right reasons, and town sheriff Will Teasle is a weak, stupid alpha male who achieved his status for the wrong reasons.

Maybe he told a joke at her expense to everyone standing there, and embarrassed her. Like at that charity event where he and Hillary gave "humorous" comments.

Just conjecture but it looks like that.

Now they have a deteriorating marriage because of the way her smile fades?

Here are six additional, REAL examples of the exact same behavior by the First Lady. The big smile followed by rigid/stern face.

Stopped viewing after seeing six examples of the exact same facial behavior as the video in question in this and other topic threads.

What could those service members have said to make the First Lady's smile fall from her face? Oh the horror of it all.
