Refer to my post above. He simply has to copy President Reagan's task force he used in Miami and gear it for gangs instead of cartels.

This is the most effective solution possible.

It's also in Trumps political interest to stop Chicago murder so the rates drop country wide during his term. It's that much of a burden to the country.

put police forces under federal jurisdiction as the democrats were calling for when ever police departments shot black people/youths, at the extreme end of the spectrum id assume attempting to send in the guard if the governor is for it or just deploy federal anti gang task forces via the fbi director.

crack down on some of the more militant gangs as an example to the low level street thugs, execute raids on kingpins and start using the rico act on gangs like they were once used on the mafia under hoover ,seize their assets ,take their homes,vehicles and anything else aleged to have been bought with drug and gun money ,crack down on street pushers pimps drug dealers and pretty much attempt to stem the blood in the streets.

send laws to congress or pass executive orders with trumps shiny pen and a phone that makes any gang affiliated members use of a fire arm a 25-50 year sentence minimum on the federal level ,think drive by's or gang retaliations make it so any innocent shot by gang members carries a life in jail sentence and or death penalty where applicable

send in drones follow and catalog all gang members activities and make it so they dont feel safe even going outside for a smoke

Trump does have some options here.

He can tackle it from the legal side, dishing out much harsher sentences (though there are loop holes he'll have to jump through in order to take over cases).

He can also send in federal law enforcement to work with the police and even send in the national guard.

At last, someone is going to sort out the cesspools.

As someone said, Chicago's murder rate is not as high as WW1.

So I guess we have to wait til it passes that, to do something.

Still better than the cycle of unnecessary deaths! If gang members actually get 25 to life, they won't be impregnating others or getting pregnant. I'm pretty sure they don't care about their education either.

When the father's job is defined done when he walks to the
bathroom and rinses off, Chicago America we got a problem.

The same guys that are offering the solution (of the armed forces
turned around inside the country) are the same social engineers
that destroyed the nuclear family in the first place. Best way to
destroy a country is slow and psychologically, if not spiritually--
a lot less chance of getting stung.

The dialog has been going on for about three generations; and

Why don't they go to the root of the REAL problem in Chicago - which is massive corruption and nepotism in local and State government.

A gang member isn't going to change their behavior because they might get 20 instead of 10 years. A stay in prison is pretty much accepted as part of the normal process of life.

Long prison sentences and "law and order" approach has already been tried and it failed.
