seems to me that so many people around here and out there dont know who stopped this Coup, it was the people of Turkey, because the Turkish people voted for him, and some people cant understand the fact that the Turkish people at that point of time gave the middle finger to those who supported and funded the Coup.

I agree .

Coup was stopped because ordinary people said no .

But from the first paragraph in the New York Times...

As coups go, the Turkish effort was a study in ineptitude: No serious attempt to capture or muzzle the political leadership, no leader ready to step in, no communication strategy (or even awareness of social media), no ability to mobilize a critical mass within either the armed forces or society. In their place a platoon of hapless soldiers on a bridge in Istanbul and the apparently uncoordinated targeting of a few government buildings in Ankara.

How is this fact being misused?

Failed CIA Op... sounds more likely considering NBC News was quick to say Erdogan was seeking asylum...

There's a reason why Erdogan wants the US to hand over Gulen.......

something to ponder.....

New York times is not exactly an objective source in this matter ; I dare say the integrity of this " hitpiece " is dubious to say at least.
Nevertheless , I shall make an attempt in explaining ;

Original Coup was scheduled for 04:00 but Erdogan's man had already penetrated the Coup makers inner circle .
The order to initiate the Coup had to be announced 6 hours early which meant the Turks were out and about and not asleep.
You see the Coup makers were discovered long time ago and their plans were played against them by Erdogan's men.
This was done to show to everyone that Erdogan have the backing of Turks and also have plans for Turks future.
Russia , Iran , China and UK have acknowledge the new role of Turks ; namely, unite the ex-ottoman nations in a trading bloc.
It's working fine.

This CIA agent codename Feto a.k.a Cosmic Imam , Mr Fethullan Gulen has been known to be CIA man for a looooong time .

He was regarded as an ally because of Nato & US relations and he was fooled into attacking Turks en masse by heavy arms.

Erdogan showed CIA for what it is : Don't trust them .

FETO is been burnt , there goes the worldwide education network of CIA operatives .

GladioB rest in peace.

Opening of the Military Committee in Chiefs of Staff Session

Nato is long overdue to get it's act right .

Currently Turks are fighting against Daesh while USA watches and does as little as possible .

In about 2 weeks the EU will be faced by a new quagmire. If the US helps the EU it will get stuck in the same quagmire together with the Euro#ers.

Turkey keeps us guessing on so many levels . This vid I ran across recently has so many good points to consider . Is Gulen the guy running the western operation while Erdogan is taking care of the home front . How Turkish despotic Ruler Erdogan simultaneously Blackmail EU, U.S. Russia

Erdogan is an Israeli-US puppet. Aside from the "one-minute" thing (which was pretty awesome), he only served Israel and US interests, especially the ones of Israel. Even the former Prime Minister Necmettin Erbakan of the Welfare Party (who only served 1 year before being overthrown) said that Justice and Development Party of Erdogan only served Zionists and the Bigger Israel Project in the Middle East. Erdogan is anti-Assad and sides with ISIS, Free Syrian Army, and the USA to overthrow the democratically elected Assad government. His son-in-law was caught in the act of selling and buying oil of ISIS in emails leaked by the Wikileaks. Nowadays, Erdogan started being friendly to Russia which is pretty great but he was also friendly to Assad, now he wants him dead. Not to mention, his party is used to drain votes from other Islam fundamentalist parties that are actually against Israel and Zionism.

It is obvious Erdogan is controlled opposition.

The coup was not orchestrated by Erdogan, it was orchestrated by other globalist forces and Erdogan knew it was going to happen. Of course he used it to cement his power and is now preparing Turkey for the new referendum which will create the groundwork for a more authoritarian regime and possibly a dictatorship. The Turkish government is a pawn in the game.

Turkey’s Erdogan Wins Referendum to Give Him More Power

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan won a historic referendum Sunday that will greatly expand the powers of his office, telling opponents who promised to challenge the results: "It's too late now."

And Erdogan's coup is complete as of April 16, 2017.

With the US arming the Kurds I'm sure it won't be long before we see him exercise some of this new power.
