A Christmas Poem - Halfoldman.

Under a Christmas Tree they stood: the shadow and and the light.
At midday one more ray you took, when shadow demands night.
Bad neighbors wanted war - the shadow and the light.

But then the Christmas Tree spoke up, brothers let it go.
Without the haunted darkness, my shiny lights don't glow.

Very nice. Thought provoking.

Don't really know any Christmas poems so will freestyle

Come read my poem one and all
For it will fill your heart
With no falsities of Christmas cheer
No organic Christmas tart.

For Christmas is a family time
Which brings it's own pain
dirty uncle Rick prowling
After my cousins in the rain

My respectable family members
Are now slurring their shouted speech
No mentions of my aunts affair
With Mandingo on the beach

So let's crowd around and drink too much
For Christmas comes once a year
Let's forget our pathetic reality
And cheer a sarcastic cheer.

For none is without pleasure,
And none is without sin.

If I had 2016 all over,
I'd burn it in a bin.

Well, this poem reminds me of a Christmas and a New Year that still makes me blush. It's not really a Christmas poem, and I did not write it, but it's a memory poem and the they are better.

Jenny Kissed Me (James Leigh Hunt)

JENNY kissed me when we met,
Jumping from the chair she sat in;
Time, you thief, who love to get
Sweets into your list, put that in!
Say I'm weary, say I'm sad,
Say that health and wealth have missed me,
Say I'm growing old, but add,
Jenny kissed me.

Jenny may have kissed you,
But here there's no more water.
Between a bullet and the lash,
I kissed the gunner's daughter.

the aliens I met
all they wanted was an ox
but soon the treaty broke
they're the hound I am the fox.

Hey I loved my comrade,
His smelly feet, even his lice
Now it's just a memory
And it wasn't always nice.

But in the funky season's end
That came so fast it's blown
I think back to that comrade
And I don't feel so alone.

Wow, some intense topics here for Christmas poetry!

My best gift is still being here
For a moment my heart was still.
And peace went through the valley
We're all supposed to chill.

And if they conquered here,
And demanded gold and pleasure
I'll wait with you my brother,
Your company's my treasure.

And if life were a chessboard,
And you were the king,
I'd square everything up
To ride with you again.

The Maestro's Kiss

Our eyes meet and our hearts fleet
He knows what our souls seek
I am the golden apple of his eye
But in that moment I've become yours
and you've always been mine

Your fruit falls into my hand
watching me as the silver drips my lips
I know He will make the days soon
as I feel your eyes on my hips

White gown and a halo crown
You take me in to be yours
People watch from all around
The beautiful marble floors
My hand slides into yours

Our high room with the waterfall
is waiting and prepared
but as i look into your eyes
Its so intense , I cant help feeling scared

You tell me never to fear
and gently run your hands down my chest
and pull me to your heart so near
you lay me in the water to calm and rest

You pick me up like a baby bird
and lay me on our feathery perch
The feeling starts down in my soul
when I look in your eyes the diamond glows

As we walk through the flowers
you saw my heart's desire
I still never speak a word of the joyous want
but you knew what Id admire

I walk into a room so beautiful
A marble crib, a crystal stream
both made by yours hand's stone
you take my hand
say you hope we will no longer be alone

With only the lightest touch you'll caress my hair
touch my skin like fragile silk
sometimes holding me in such despair
it makes my heart milk

Dark days comes when your light goes out
He breaks your heart with a violin mouth
Our crystal stream is now a tear on your lip
Your eyes seek justice , you look to me and seek bliss
but all i can give you is one kiss

Absolutely haunting,
Like poetry sometimes should.
If I could send you fifty stars.
Please know I surely would.
