Would anyone here enjoy reading/perusing this blog?

Hello fellow ATS'ers.

For a while now I've been mulling over the idea of creating a blog where I can share my work. So, I thought that maybe a "trial run" was needed, or rather, a thread to discuss the idea and perhaps glean if there is any interest for such a thing to exist. So below I will show you some of my poems and songs and I'll leave it up to those of you here to tell me if I should carry forward or not.

Here is a little ditty I haven't yet shared here. I call it...

Fools Gold

A twinkle in my eye,
I tried to be your guy.
You slipped on a disguise,
and fed me endless lies.

I put in all I had.
It really was quite bad.
It turns out you're ice cold,
you're nothing but fool's gold.

Fool's gold. You're nothing but fool's gold.

Been tricking men since birth,
So pretty without worth.

Fool's gold. You're nothing but fool's gold.

No I'm not hating,
You're just no good for plating.

Fool's gold. You're nothing but fool's gold.

Whether you like it or not,
I'll spoil the plot.
I gave it a shot,
because I thought you were hot.

Inspect what your prospecting,
I've no time for fakes.
I'll detect and be collecting
the real gold flakes.

Fool's gold. You're nothing but fool's gold.
Fool's gold. You're nothing but fool's gold.


Then, If you enjoyed that, here are a couple little unnamed poems I've written.

Passion can be a very tricky thing.
It can be euphoric or even sting.
It blurs the lines of right and wrong;
It tests whether you're weak or strong.
Let it consume you, and you will soon see,
How truly powerful it's grasp can be.

I long to see your smiling face.
I yearn to feel your warm embrace.
I crave having you by my side.
These wants are far too great to hide.
What If I told you this was how I felt?
Would you believe that you make my heart melt?

I like your poetry and would likely visit your blog to read more of your work, assuming that there is more than what you've posted on ATS and I imagine, if you truly enjoy writing that there would be notebooks full.

Go for it, I say. Why not?

I think the Mods are about to shut you down. You are not allowed to advertise your own site here. If you want people to read your thoughts and poetry, post them in the appropriate forums.

I haven't advertised anything, as there is nothing yet to advertise but my own work.

I am simply asking a question. That question is 'would you read or visit a blog whose primary content was my poetry, such as the content I have provided here'.

Ive done that myself..but dont care to share it here. But, Ill tell you what I learned? Once I got over 30 blogs...I realized I could segment them in an index. When I crossed 50...I realized I should do that very thing...and when I reached 70 seperate ones...I found "HEY! I got enough for a book of shorts, poems, lyrics and opinions."

So, thats where Im headed next. Mine is on GOOGLE BLOGGER because I found it easy to create a nice format there...its easy to locate by readers and its just plain simple.*
