I'm not even a fan of the wall as a Trump supporter, but at least he seems determined to follow-through with his campaign promises unlike every other President in my lifetime. If it does get built, I sure hope Mexico actually does pay for it. Oh and for those that don't know. Trump never stated he was expecting the Mexican gov to hand over a check. He plans to make them pay for it through other means they can't avoid.

In the beginning, Trump sated they would pay for it outright. Then Trump changed it to 'through tarrifs', which, US consumers of goods will end up paying for. Now it is changed to getting the money through direct appropriation of US taxpayer money.
That was NOT a campaign promise of his.

Just use all the "Golden Trump" signage that he removed from his buildings, they will extend half way across the country and stand 13 feet tall at least, then plug the holes between the letters with "Make America Great Again" Hats (made in China)(Warehouses full of them, also in China)

The media reports on all sorts of stuff Trump hasn't done yet, why should this be any different.

It is different because he is telling them to report something as fact, something very specific.

The media has speculated on a wide range of things and people. This is very diferent.

Think about it Mexico is in turmoil due to the fact that socialism has failed. Mexico is on the verge of civil war, the cartels are running large parts of the country. The Pentagon even considers Mexico a national security risk.

I fully expect the wall to get built to stop the flood of people what will be escaping the coming Mexican Civil War. However with a wall in place we can prevent that flood, and then create safe zones inside Mexico, just the other side of the border.

I fully expect the next major US military conflict will be in Mexico.

The new liberal media - reading Trump tweets and being outraged.

It's not just the left reading Trumps tweets; plenty of conservatives are reading them and noticing that Trump is a twitterbitch nutcase. The right is beginning to question if Trump can pull the presidency off with his obsession of self promotion and ignoring more pressing matters.

Sure they are bud. Totally believable coming from the same people who spent the last year bashing Trump supporters. Fake news as it's finest!

So is fake concern trolling by liberals on behalf of "conservative friends" the newest desperate tactic from the left? You're not fooling anyone but yourself.

It's not that they can't afford the gas. Mexico isn't that poor. The situation in Mexico is like this. The Mexican government deregulated gas prices because their buddies in at the gas company didn't want to take a pay cut. Gas prices jumped 20% in one weekend. The corrupt Mexican government deregulated gas sticking it to the public making them pay more. The Mexican people are pissed and refuse to pay for it. Thus the protests and riots. They are trying to hurt the gas companies profits and are successfully doing so. 5 States in Mexico are effected and more are on the way.

Funny you think it's because Mexican are poor and that's what the gas riots are about.

It's different? They reported on so many things like it was fact already. Just because the president elect wants them to its a problem.. Got it.

The media IS dishonest. Where was the exuberance to hold Obama to his exact words? Trump hasn't even taken office yet FFS!

What are you talking about? That's all I heard for 8 years. Remember "you can keep your doctor". They wouldn't give the guy a break for anything. Talk about alternate realities. Geese

I have never thought Mexico was poor. I was giong by your statement about gas prices and they couldn't or didn't want to pay them. I have not looked deeply into the gas situation, though. Thank you for the clarification. It has nothing to do with this OP topic, though.

It is definitely off when Trump says "I want you to report that Mexico will pay us back to build a wall." The media says we will not. Trump says THEY are being dishonest because of just that.

I cannot be more clear.

Simply put the Mexican government is pretty busy with a possible civil war right now. Trump and a wall is the last thing on their mind.

Guess it kinda is related to the wall.

Then Trump stated they would pay through higher tariffs, I doubt those will pass

Well yeah since there are no tariffs between Mexico and the United States. There is this pesky trade agreement in the way, NAFTA.

And why do you or the media care? Obama made all kinds of promises he ignored and none of you gave a damn! Now suddenly we're supposedly to believe you're suddenly concerned?

He never said 'you must print this' before there was any agreement in place.

If they can't pay for gas, I don't see them pay to build a wall. But, that is still not the point. The Mexican government has made no such agreememt.

But Trump said they would pay for it, so the media is being dishonest by not stating Mexico will pay for it, as trump said so. You must remember the Trump rules:-

1/ Trump is never wrong.
2/ If Trump is actually wrong, see rule 1

Some of my old GOP bosses and colleagues I worked for during the campaign are very concerned.

As they should. Trump creates his own reality bigly and cannot stand to have his reality questioned---"The dishonest media does not report that any money spent on building the Great Wall (for sake of speed), will be paid back by Mexico later!" It seems to me that he is already having a psychotic break with reality, and he's not even POTUS yet! This is some scary stuff for this nation.
