"On 12 June 2001, the Indo-Russian joint venture, BrahMos (stands for Brahmaputra-Moskva) Co, successfully test fired a supersonic cruise missile code-named PJ-10. It is a state-of-the-art weapon system and can strike warships at 300 kms in 300 seconds, can mount multiple war-heads, and use stealth properties making it virtually undetectable; it is the only supersonic cruise in existence."

I dont know. With stealth, the missle should have the radar signature of a speck of dust.

A few things that could stop the cruise missle are air to air missles, surface to air missles, or maybe in the future lasers.

I remember reading abot a huge device being built by the military that would ultimately be able to super heat the Ionosphere and create a sort of "lens" from the changed area, to filter or focus the rays of the sun. I'm not sure, 'cause it was a while back, nut it may well have been HAARP, or at least one of its relatives. It was in a publicised magazine article, I just can't remember what the crud the mag was.
It scared the sh!t outta me, though.

Brahmos:

It is launched from truck mounted launcher, which has 3 ready to fire missiles or by SU-30 which carries total of 4 missiles, 2 under wings and 2 in engine hardpoints..

Sukhoi:

Truck mounted launcher:

*edit*

Btw.. it isnt a "land attack cruise missile", it is "anti ship cruise missile".. and these anti ship weapons are one thing in which USSR/Russia has allways been superior to the US, as Russians have spend HUGE AMOUNTS OF MONEY ON THEM, to counter the treaht of US carriers.

Interesting. Works well for both; Russia splits costs, India gets a good product.
