U.S. Attorney General Loretta Lynch has commented on the possibility that Obama may attempt to issue a full pardon for all immigrants that came to the U.S. as children of illegal immigrants.

We all know this is a problem.

Lynch says Presidential pardons are case by case for individuals.

She said a blanket mass pardon may not cut the mustard.

Many politicians have been asking Obama to do this before he leaves office.

So, is Loretta actually saying it's "illegal"? Or is she just putting the idea into the heads of the public?

There's always a conspiracy with anything Obama.

Lynch says "impossible". Why not say "illegal" or "unConstitutional" ?

Attorney General SHUTS DOWN Obama's plan to pardon thousands of illegal migrants

Loretta Lynch shot down left-leaning hopes for a blanket clemency rule for thousands of illegal immigrants en masse.

The head of the Department of Justice, appointed by Barack Obama himself, told Politico that a last-minute mass pardon before the president left the Oval Office was impossible.

Democrats had repeatedly called on the Obama administration to grant a pardon to thousands of young undocumented immigrants - known as DREAMers - before Donald Trump takes office.

It sounds to me like she is hedging her bets using that terminology. It is nebulous and generic...and not legally specific. Stating something legally specific would paint her into a corner with President Obama and the Clinton's surrounding her position.

Weak...weak. Like I would expect anything less from her after that secret meeting with Bill Clinton.

How do you "pardon" someone for being in the country illegally? What they want is amnesty, and that isn't something the president can grant by executive action.

Good on her

I think this presidential pardon thing is total BS anyway.

Someone does a crime they do the time, pardons from leaders is not something that belongs in a modern democratic society

Not only that, but, they never went to trial....so, how can you pardon someone if they have not been sentenced to a crime yet? That is what a pardon is, it commutes the sentence and wipes the record clean of the conviction. Without a conviction or sentence from a court, there is nothing to pardon in the first place. He would have to serve, try, and convict ALL of them first...then he could pardon them. He is a constitutional "scholar", and he should know this already.

It is all a move to increase the voting rolls of the Democratic party in preparation for the next election cycle. They simply need more voters on their side next time. And if he gets away with this, then they gain MILLIONS of new voters with the swipe of a pen.

Not cool Mr. President.

January 20th can't come soon enough. The damage this POTUS has done to America is immeasurable and it seems he is determined to do as much as he can right till the end.

That is a blanket statement that is purely your opinion, backed by no facts.

I see that some have urged Obama to do so. A plan he has doesn't even seem to exist to shut down.

This is a "juke" move . Just the tactics of the entire last 8 years . Say one thing , do another.

and the day after Obama leaves office and the illegals are still here his pardon won`t mean crap, he can`t pardon people for crimes that they might commit in the future.

pardoning them for committing the crime of being here illegally before and up to jan 20 2017 is one thing, but pardoning them for committing the crime of being here illegally after jan 20th would basically mean he would have to pardon them for the crime of being here illegally at any point in the future, after jan 20.

I`m no legal expert but I`m pretty sure he can`t pardon people for crimes that they haven`t committed but might commit in the future.
