These people are not escaping cruel Socialism

No they are escaping drug gang violence you know the same drugs that are brought to America.

and we are not putting up a wall to keep people in.

If it keeps people out it keeps people in. I never thought I'd see the day that Americans become such cowards they want to turn this nation a prison.

while it doesn't say if it was at a crossing or over a fence, it does state

“One of them had a sh*t load of hits from a bunch of places he’s been. He had entered and exited numerous countries that were not in his route to the U.S. This raises red flags because people leaving a foreign country to come here usually take the quickest route, but one of them did not,” said one of the sources.

hence: why they were detained and held. Not just let go. red flags bad. And if it was at a legal crossing why were they held until trial instead of the standard process and release that's normally done under Obama if there wasn't a problem?

While its been reported that people at the border are processed then released under the Obama administration, I doubt that its done in every case.

The other reason why I dont think these particular people were crossing illegally is because theres no mention of it.

In another story, Breitbart does use the term "illegally" but they did not in this one.

To me it seems more like sensationalism and fear mongering.

Not coincidental with the appointment of Bannon and Trump's Moslem registry agenda.

Because we have this silly thing called the constitution that calls for punishments that fit the crime.
Replied to the wrong person, I know your comment was agreeing with this sentiment.

I lived on the border. I've heard the Shoot to Kill sentiment many times.

I went to school with a girl who escaped East Berlin with her family, running across a field at night, with guards shooting randomly in the dark. Her family made it. Many did not.

Who are we?

These people are not escaping cruel Socialism, and we are not putting up a wall to keep people in.

I lived on the border.

I am very much aware of what these people are trying to escape from - - - and to.

Have you seen the movie: "Man On Fire"? It's not just a made up movie.

again, does it really matter if it was a legal crossing or not? The point is, there was enough to warrant holding all 3 of them until trial and that is the main point here. And if it was a legal crossing, what aren't they catching coming across that we never see or hear about? Is that fear mongering? I don't think it is because we don't know what isn't caught coming across because Obama and so many other presidents just haven't cared enough. That's the point.

I have to wonder, for every one that is caught, how many aren't?

They didn't come over by accident.

I believe the typical count is for every one crime, ten go unknown. If that math helps.

I just don't understand why so many in our country are against protecting our borders. It just makes sense.

Liberal left wing lemmings with no respect for the safety of their children, or their neighbors children.

Reminds of a story I read about some guy in GQ while I was waiting to get my haircut. Elden Kidd, smuggled immigrants across the border, and GQ reported him as if he we some sort of Crocodile Dundee or hero. Making money importing Neanderthals to violate the sexual integrity of American women. And Elden Kidd was a Mormon, which teaches against filthy lucre. Not much better than Elizabeth Smarts dad. Lets invite the enemy into our homes. Maybe the homeless are homeless are poor for a reason. A divinely created caste system. Maybe the people south of the Rio Grande are supposed to stay there with the knuckle dragging Neanderthal ways.

Traitors.

no logic is needed for blind partisanship banter. i love it.
even though you mentioned that, and its the first thing i flagged, this back and forth will go for another 3 pages until the next similar thread is created.

make murka great again trump.
if only the natives had a shoot to kill policy against trespassers on their homeland a few hundred years ago.

Yep maybe we should learn from their mistake...

Native Americans came via land bridge from Asia. They did in fact war among themselves. They did not however have a sovereign country, a constitution, or immigration laws.....

Tired old argument from liberals.

I sometimes wonder.... how is it that for decades, despite the intermittent "surges".... how is it possible that the number of illegal aliens in the United States is 11 to 13 million? Years and years and decades and decades and countless border crossings.... but the number stays the same. Hhhmmm.

More are going home than coming in. Especially in regard to Mexicans.

How the hell do you know that?? Crazy blank statements like this are sad.

This story isn't true.

Also, Obama has more deportations of illegals under his belt than any other president.

*sigh*

I've seen people try and point that out, but people don't want to believe it. People have been told for 8 years that Obama is personally escorting hordes upon hordes of illegal immigrants into the USA, as if it were some kind of Black Friday mad rush across the border.

I can only imagine that is what goes through these people's minds when they think about the US/Mexico border -- thousands of people all running and tripping over one another, over powering the few (and poorly armed) border patrol agents.

Seriously, if you talk to these conservatives, this truly must be the imaginary mental picture they've created for themselves from 8 years of fear mongering and partisan rhetoric.

they used their market manipulation against US oil once already and it worked to their favor but at a very high cost. A cost i don't think they will be willing to pay for again. Next time they try to shut down US oil under President Trump will definitely involve a harder, different means. I sure hope we're both wrong.
