I read a different article.


Being illegally present in the U.S. has always been a civil, not criminal, violation of the INA, and subsequent deportation and associated administrative processes are civil proceedings.


Honestly, however tptb choose to enforce the law is what is. Everything else should just remind people that they hand their power over when they elect representatives.

I have lived in and around Chicago since I was 4 years old. I did live in other states briefly throughout the years for work or to help family but always came back home. Not sure where you get your information but I would find another source...
