Good Morning All and Happy Saturday
We finally got our first snow this year.
Yester day I was painting out side in shirt sleeves and hauling wood, sweating. Phff.
Today calls for something made in the oven to heat up the house and make a delicious aroma while watching a movie.

All the stories are wonderful. It is so nice to come in and find creativity and good humor.

Imbibification?

What does it mean?

I think Kaelci invented it!!
To describe the imbibing and enjoyment of her Ice Cream cocktails!
SEE her post HERE

I'd love to hear her saying it three times very fast after consuming a few of those!!!

MAKE IT SO, B!! LOL

Hey WIS, swanne, Gordi and everyone.

WIS was just outside thinking how warm it was!

Might be time to set up camp in the south for 3 months.
I'm like a bird, I need to fly away form the cold.
I've been trying to train my cats and dogs to follow me in geese formation for years. Instead of Diminishing Ducks, I'd have diminishing cats.

No luck so far.

It's all pretty much stuff I can't do. There's not much you don't use your arms for.

Hi zazzy!

We've got quite wintry showers at the moment.
Wet snow which quickly melts, then freezes over at night.
There's been a heavy frost the last 3 nights...

Everything's just soaking wet and then it freezes up overnight.
I've had to help "jump start" two of my neighbours cars (with booster cables) in the last few days too.
It always amazes me how unprepared people seem to be... we get this weather just about every year here, yet they never seem to check or charge up their car battery prior to the bad weather arriving!!

Anyway, I think I'm just grumpy because I've got a cold, erm... I mean Man Flu! Yes that's it! MAN FLU!
I'm sure that a beer will help?

What is amazing to me for where I live,
is how in the short six months or so where we don't have snow,
people seem to forget at the sign of the first snowflake how to drive in it,
and panic.

Gordi, I'm sorry you have the man flu Hun! The pixies will fix up a special drink for you and then make chicken soup. Love the cake mold! Wait till Syx sees that! He'll be after CC to get one. LOL

Zazzy, I miss you when you aren't here!

Hello Tom!!

Yeah around here too, people aren't prepared when they should be. When a snow storm hits, people panic and buy up all the bread and milk in the stores. Like WTH? Buy some booze and munchies!

Been there too chap!
Neighbour's daughter in her early 20's.
Revving the nutts off of her mum's Hyundai Coupe, wheels spinning like mad, wondering why she isn't moving on the compacted snow and ice beneath her.

My instructions...
"Don't Rev it! Slip it into SECOND GEAR and let it roll slowly forward at tickover"
Her response?
VRRRRRRRRRRRRRRROOOOOOOMMMM!!!!!! and wheel spinning!!!
Me: "Don't Rev it up!"
Her: "I didn't!!"
Me: "I can hear the engine revving"
Her: "It wasn't me..."

OhKaaaay then....

Eventually had to push her car to get her moving, but it would probably have been safer for everyone if I'd left her where she was!!!

Oh, and guess what her dad does for a living???? Yup! He's a Driving Instructor!!!! You couldn't make it up!!

psssst!

I'm fine, it's just a wee cold, but I was angling for some sympathy.... being left all alone.... on my own.... with my feet up.... Fridge full of food.... Andy Murray on the Telly.... No kids screaming... Scotland about to Play Argentina in the Rugby... Some beer my neighbour got me for starting her car this morning... two open bottles of whisky in the drinks cupboard next to some nice red wine and a full bottle of spiced rum....
Yeah, sympathy please!! ROFL

"booze and munchies" - SORTED!!!

Same here, my friend. Like so many of us.

But at least he doesn't need internet to connect with us any more. At least that.

A Scot never catches cold. If you did, you'd have one all the time. You're too hardy for that.

PS: which whisky? Single malt, I hope?

And BTW, please check your PMs.
